The Federal Reserve raised interest rates by a quarter percentage point and signaled hikes at all six remaining meetings this year, launching a campaign to tackle the fastest inflation in four decades even as risks to economic growth mount.
However, The People's Bank of China appears headed in the opposite direction, cutting two benchmark lending interest rate in mid-January. China’s dovish stance could provide shelter to global investors looking to move away from a global inflationary environment.
