I don't know why I didn't expect this collab, Chime and Jarvis seem like a perfect match for each other. It feels like 2012 dubstep revisited with 2018 sound design.

Well Chime's in the name so it's better than most 2016 dubstep regardless. Though yeah this has been teased as far back as the Rise of The Phoenix EP if I remember correctly.

I might be the only one but chime's kicks always feel like they have been high-passed into oblivion. Transient is there but no oomph? Just not a fan of flappy kicks ya kno. Otherwise great work bois!
its not just these guys, a lot of people doing this. Kick is generally the first that starts to fall apart when going for loudness, so highpassing/using a kick without much lowend is a way to get louder, at the cost of having a kick with proper lowend. Not a wise tradeoff IMO. I see what they're going for but listen to a zomboy track and the kick has massive sub
