Lee, if you get chance go up to Mijas Pueblo, lovely Spanish village in the mountains and not far from Fuengirola. Go visit the Lemon Tree. Owned by some great English lads. Keep em coming love the Costa del Sol 😅

I have been watching the Macmaster for a long time, I'm always waiting for the "Oh my word" when he has the first bite. The fish looked good and I thought it was an 8 this time.
I live in Malaga City and am searching for good Fish and Chips. I've visited both Crispy and Bonanza. Crispy Cod is by far the best I agree!
The boat in the Duran Duran video was called The Drum and was recently owned by Arnold Clark. And I’ve had the privilege of sailing her. It was awesome.

I've always noticed the green man at crossings in Spain seems to be advisory as far as the drivers are concerned, now I just don't even bother to take a chance on it and just wait for a gap in traffic same with Zebra crossings stopping seems to be optional on them as well so be careful.

I had that same question about pedestrian crossings here in SA and I've since learned that vehicles on the road where the crossing is are supposed to stop when the lights are red, but vehicles turning onto the road where the crossing is can still try and get you, however it was explained to me like this, if you get run over while jay walking it's your fault, but if you get legally run over on a pedestrian crossing it's not your fault, so that's nice to know, gives one peace of mind.
Brilliant. I got the M120 bus from Torremolinos 2 weeks ago into Fuengirola, was 1 euro 70 each way.. Bargain.😉

Why is it that most places you go in Spain, the streets are so clean. We have a family joke about Menorca and how I could sleep on any street there...and I have OCD 😂

The Crispy Cod is one of the best fish and chip shops ever. Believe me over the years I've done plenty of research. There was another contender in Billinge and one in Great Harwood but I haven't been to those for thirty years. The only thing that is odd is eating Fish and Chips in the Spanish heat...Got to be a 9.5 :D
Lee you should try the bus very cheap and regular. You can get a reloadable card from the tabac shops, just tap it when you get on and it tells you on the ticket what’s remaining.
This place is our local. We always have a takeaway as our doggies are in the car, not in summer, and they enjoy their share too. We have gone there for years.
For a lunchtime special looks great I give it a 10 plus

I had a few beers down fish alley a couple months back, having owned a bar right at the end in the mid 00s near the Samantha Mumba steps (music video) it's such a shame how much fish alley has changed 😢 That meal looked ace though you could tell it was going to be a 9+ 🎉

Favourites though, were Frydays in Seaton and the Brixham Fish Restaurant in....well, guess!
By Panaderia shop that girl was having a tough time with that fork lift lol, but the fish and chips did look nice and prompted me to plan a fish & chip meal sometime soon.

The fish was frozen, it fell apart. Having curry, peas, tartare and tomato sauce is shocking. And the butty was alarming, and the chipped plate is a send it back 😂 6/10

I was their..loved it. Very fresh and filling 👌. I got large fish and chips..14 euro but the portion wasn't very big..I classic it as average portion..8..10

Hey Lee, thanks for the education regarding chipped plates, I think I might have heard that before and it seemed like just an old wives tale but I looked it up and you're 100% correct, they really shouldn't be using chipped plates. We use Corning Corell plates which are almost impossible to chip or even break. That should be standard for all restaurants that don't use disposable plates.
I thought the chips looked more like fries being so thin. You posted a picture of fish skins the other day. Where was that from?
By the way, you should mention how many steps you're getting in every day. You really walk a lot, which is great!
Despite the chipped plate the fish and chips looked very good and tasty..nearly as good as the toll bar at Stoney Middleton.. another good video.

Liked the look of Fuengirola, it brought back memories for the missus as she stayed there years ago with her family.
Sad to say the fish n chips looked a bit beige mate. Not a patch on Palms which is probably the only fish n chips in Spain that are like England.

Thought I recognised it. See the hotel to the left of the resta? Used to be called Las Piramedes. Stayed there in 96 with my children and parents but without my ex wife. I'm sure it was just a restaurant in those days and not a fish and chip shop. Went to Fuengirola again with my present wife the year Thomas Cook went bust. Stayed in the Fuengirola Beach Hotel which is just outside the town not on the beach and is more apartments than hotel for £119 half-board for the week. Flights transfers and accommodation

That is called an ESCALATOR in the United States. We have MOVING STAIRS which are flat and you can remain standing on them or walk ahead. These moving stairs are usually to take you from one side of a huge mall to the other side. In Detroit , Michigan, the Somerset Mall has moving stairs from the side with less expensive stores to the other side with very expensive stores like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Ferragamo, Hermes, Neiman Marcus, Ralph Lauren and many other designer stores.
@susiejakes3019 ... The moving stairs are called escalators in the UK too. The flat one's are travelators.

We have been regulars in Costa del sol since 1995. We think Torremolinos has more of a Spanish vibe than Benalmadena and Fuenguerola, but it’s obviously a personal opinion.
