When a car goes missing, the FIRST THING to do is report it stolen to the police. Even if it is later proved to have been "legally " towed, it puts a BIG spot light on the tow company & HOA. It always helps to start paper trail!
I just adopted a 4yo Jack Russell mix, 6 weeks ago, he was 18 lbs. Got him neutered, through the shelter, and by the time I took him to my regular vet, he was 15 lbs. My dog gets walked 2x a day, about 1 and a half miles a day. I also consider this part of my exercise. I jokingly told the vet he didn't know that he moved into the Betty Ford weight loss clinic.
HOLY COW! The first story is MY story! And yes, that actually happened A LOT when I was a kid in the 80s. Now that SuperCuts location is some hoity-toity "interior design" store with some of the fugliest stuff I've ever seen in the windows.
Last Story: The OP should have reported the car stolen once noticing it was missing since then the cops might not treat it as a civil matter. Also the credit card company should have been able to commence a charge-back without needing a receipt since the charge on the card is usually sufficient for charge-backs
last one, higely possible the towing company is closely linked to the HoA with how it was accting. or its a realy shady one that dont care at all. defenitly sounds like legal acctions might be needed there. maybe whatever entetiy that regulates towing of cars in the area and the companys that does towing can help op out with getting the alegded proof. and if they still refusing then legal actions might be something op could consider.
Also in regards to the last stiry 575 dollars for towing and storage for one day is extemely high and should be ikegal. Op should contact whatever goverment agency that handles the licensecing forbtiw companies and file a complaint.
Wrong number story: Some people are just incapable of understanding that they dialed a wrong number, copied the number down wrong or were just plain given a fake number as a way to not be bothered by this person. We had a guy who kept calling for weeks wanting to talk to someone that didn't live with us. We explained he had a wrong number till we were blue in the face. We finally just bought a metal police style whistle and blew it into the phone when he called. It still took awhile before he stopped calling.
Ms. Noncom should have been reported to the local SPCA for possible (obvious) animal abuse/cruelty, but I am pleased that the issue appears to be resolved.
Supercuts phone story... The house we lived in, when I was a teenager, the last two digits of our phone number was 71. A family moved in across the street, two daughters, one college age, the other a few years younger than me. Their phone number ended 17. It was VERY common to get calls intended for them. Rather than give the caller their correct number, "Oh, you misdialed or have it written down wrong, their number is xxx-xx17" I would instead answer, "Oh, they're across the street. I'll go get them." Which I did. 😆
The travel agent OP (aka AH) cost his customers money since as the OP said he sometimes used more expensive airlines. He screwed his customers for his own personal vendetta.
The same way she is not caring about herself. Our owners/renters have to submit their license plates. Any unknown plates, after a few days, will be towed.
For a terrific song about shady towing companies, listen to “Lincoln Park Pirates” by Steve Goodman, about an infamous Chicago company known for towing on questionable grounds. One stanza: We break into cars when we gotta With a pick axe and hammer and saw And they said that this garage had no license But little care I for the law All my drivers are friendly and courteous Their good manners you always will get 'Cause they're all recent graduates of the charm school in Joliet [aka prison]
There is an old song about a terrible towing company “Lincoln Park Pirates” by Steve Goodman. The funny thing is that the notorious owner of that company loved the song and would come to the bar that Steve played at in Chicago to hear it.
If you think property tow off is bad, Think about this.... Got in a small wreck, I have a semi truck. 24 miles to the dealership to repair. Driveshaft already removed. (Yes it is necessary to move a semi that cannot be pulled backwards) Total: $4200.00 Next time you get a tow bill FIGHT IT. i DID and bill was reduced to $1500.00 Talk about predatory towing?
Not all tow companies are the same. There are alot of shady companies that do stupid shit but the companies I worked for were always straight up. When your car is missing the very first thing to do is call the police because any reputable impound company has to report it impounded before moving it more than a mile. That being said, it sounds like that HOA and tow company were working together to get money off of unsuspecting people. There should be signage all around the property in question stating what tow company is responsible for impounding vehicles, if not then it is illegal for them to tow. In my state anyways.
Back in the day there was a thing called a "party line", where everyone on a road would have the same line, and when someone tried to call, all the phones on the road would ring, but each subscriber had a specific ring to correspond with their actual phone number. The last of the party line services were discontinued around the year 2000. So Obviously this lady thought she was on a multiservice line and was annoyed that op kept picking up before Supercuts could. Don't go kicking people for "not knowing how phones work" when they sometimes Did work like that at the time the OP experienced this.
I hope not. I adopted a cat who was previously kept in a large colony, so she learned to hover over the food bowl. I’m already giving her prescription food, and using an automated feeder to keep her portions normal. I’m having to make a stairway to her favorite perch.
@@goatkiller666 you are taking proactive steps When I said kept, I was meaning the type of people who don't bother to try to help their pet lose the weight.
1st story: This story takes place before answering machines but SuperCuts exists? 2nd story: Was that really nessacary? 3rd story: Why do these people think that that their dog is not fat when they clearly are? 4th story: I hope that you won your suit against them
The first one has a Karen winning for some reason. That guy literally expected a new extra flight and crew just to get him to a wedding. Thats not how airlines work. He should have simply checked with other airlines like everyone else does.
The dog lady might have been projecting her own health insecurities. We never think of being overweight as a medical problem but as personal issues. Sounds like she was feeding the dog less food and was doing all she could, minus the medical tests.
My friend got towed, he fought the towing company over it, and lost. He told me about it, I told him that towing company is just down the block from were I worked, and the parking area is open. I took him there that night, he got his car, drove it to another parking lot, and returned the next day to bond it out. They flipped out when they realized they didn't have it anymore, and had to report it stolen. The police found it a few hours later, and returned it to the owner, bond payment averted. The towing company had that happen several more times before they invested in a fence. Then went out of shady business, for shady business dealings. Can you say wasted investment?
The kind of people who do that to pets are the kind who also vote to take away your personal private bodily healthcare rights. Please vote to put people of GOOD conscience into office, at the local as well as regional & national levels. Just ask yourself, "If they did that to MY pet like they're trying to do that to the people in my community, how would I react?" (It is frightening that basic human decency has to be reduced to such a statement, but these are the times we are living in, folks. Treat your pets better, AND treat your fellow humans better! DO BETTER!!)
Our pup is overweight. It's been too cold here (wind chills -30 F) for walks. Bought a bag of diet (Healthy Weight) food and she's allergic. Oh well, we'll keep trying.
So the vet tech decided to bully the overweight woman and her dog? Very professional. And then believes she’s the hero when the woman gets upset and leaves after you continually use fat synonyms in her presence.
I'm going to have to call the vet story a fake. 2 bowls a day to lose weight? Very active dogs can get fat off 1 bowl a day. No way an inactive dog will lose weight with that much food.
I once had a neighbor that had a very obese black lab, I felt sorry for her and mentioned it to my neighbor who would give the dog treats in front of me and would give my Chihuahua treats because “ he is so little “ I told that my dog weighed eight pounds and that was the correct weight for a Chihuahua, I would just get the words out when he would give my dog a treat, I stopped visiting said neighbor’s mom who I was visiting when jerk gave my dog treats, I told her why I stopped visiting, the last time I saw the black lab, she had dug a hole and stayed in it, she didn’t have the energy to get out, he kept feeding her, finally the😅 mom told me that the dog had died, I was happy that now she was able to run free, poor dog, my town had no animal advocats to call. This was a very small Southern town where animals were concerned expendable, most pets never saw a vet, no shots, a litter or two a yesr.
If they saw the tags were current on the vehicle there would be no reason to consider it abandoned at that point so the tow company needs to be sued for their incompetency.
As to the first story that caller was an idiot. As to the second story a complaint should be filed with the airline and the airline should be told why they were no longer used. As to the third story that person shouldnt have a pet if she isnt goingbto properly care for it. As to the last stiry h o a stands for horible obnoxious a holes.

I had a number one digit off a cab company. I would get fun calls on Friday and Saturday nights. I got a new number after about a month of this.

Good Morning! Thanks for these stories! Really appreciate your hard work! 😊
Good afternoon everyone and RedWheel 😊
Hope everyone has a great day or night or afternoon 😊
We were one number off from Pizza Hut when we lived in Chicago at about this same time period. We know their pain.

Hey, Redwheel and friends. Got #1 again. Love your stories. Y'all be safe on this snowy winter day. ❤

Good morning RedWheel. Love this channel.

"4 flat tires" can easily be an HOA Karen with a knife.....

If they post a sign that says “No Overnight Parking,” that literally gives them carte blanche to tow EVERY vehicle, EVERY night. That makes no sense.

Last Story: The OP could have potentially insisted on charging both the HOA and towing company with Grand Theft Auto and Extortion.

Can vets claim animal abuse for pets that are kept morbidly obese?
Yep and they can call authorities and provide information and medical records if the law moves to have you black listed

12:29 you didn't report your car stolen immediately? Really? So you dug your own hole? Right?
If I was that vet, I would have said "Jack's a bit small for a rottweiler."

Towing from private property should always illegal without owners permission even if property is in a hoa
ya, car theft, aka grand theft auto... is not a civil matter. sue the cops for neglect and enableing criminals

Wait BS you can start a chargeback on any transaction on your credit card
that poor pup :(
Probably because of the phone number problem

Where can I find a Karen location app?
In the local Walmart. Just speak to the manager.
Get a ghost app for your phone. Karens aren't dead but they give off dead energy.

HE CALLED A JACK RUSSELL TERRIER "ROTUND" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
THIS DUDE IS LIVING THE DREAM
Good afternoon! Hope your day has gone well! Great stories again! Thank you for sharing them! Catch you again in the morning!
Last story did not have a ending as to what happened. The writer needs alot of help. Meh story.
Story 2: "Success is about meeting the right people and not pissing them off"
Story 3: overfeeding your pet to that point is animal cruelty.
Our pup is overweight. It's been too cold here (wind chills -30 F) for walks. Bought a bag of diet (Healthy Weight) food and she's allergic. Oh well, we'll keep trying.
Plane flight story is BS. To cause a 2 million lose in a couple of years is a 6,000 flight EVERY DAY.
That poor dog
hoas shouldn't exist, and towing companies should have to record everything as accurately as possible
So the vet tech decided to bully the overweight woman and her dog? Very professional. And then believes she’s the hero when the woman gets upset and leaves after you continually use fat synonyms in her presence.
Mine want to eat to much. I wont let her.
I'm going to have to call the vet story a fake.
