I've had great results from a roll of NC500 and Lomo LC-A. Shot at 400 ISO, mostly in sunny conditions. It looks slightly underexposed, grainy, but very atmospheric. I really like it.
'Hoses for courses' as they say Hashem, the NC500 certainly suits the subject in these photos. Another informative and well balanced video, thanks mate.
I'll pass on this. The colors could be more saturated and the overall feeling I get is that it is TOO overexposed. The grain definitely shows this is film..... there is a point where it's too much and I think this found it. Next filmstock- give us a color 120 film with some punch.......
I‘m not really convinced by this film. Too grainy, colors questionable. I can also shoot digital and then let run one of these terrible algorithms over the files…
Wow! Thanks for this video. Most of the Wolfen reviews I have seen have been negative, based on the look from the lab scans. I believe this is the first one I’ve seen that presented how it could look when scanned differently. I never would have given Wolfen a second thought after those reviews if it weren’t for this video. The possibility of getting a bit of that Kodachrome look is pretty exciting.
I think this was the first time were I saw pictures of NC500 that actually looked good, especially for snow it creates a really nice color palette. Which 5D did you use for scanning? the Mark 1?

great video man. i just did one of NC400 and i'm realizing my results vary from the common feedback. I dig your scans over the lab ones you got back.
Thanks! yeah I've seen a mixture of results from this film (as with most though)

Thanks as always!

I like the unsaturated look. Great for dark and grungy photography. Perfect for dramatic and horror portraits and setting
Interesting stock. I might try it. I’m really interested in your scanning setup. I think I’d be happier with my own scans over the lab.

Fair enough!

Thanks for watching! Yeah the scanning can make quite a difference
Can you use 500d film stock on camera with limit iso of 300?
Yep, should work fine

Glad you liked them. It's the 5D MK IV
