    That was still commendable of them. It's still a historical run they're on. They've won me over, I wanna see them succeed. That match against Iceland is a must-watch.

      Je ne comprends pas pourquoi la plupart des français utilisent l anglais pour s exprimer sur internet. Ont ils honte de leur langue? Si c'est parce que l anglais
      C'est mieux , plus international, sachez que le "traducteur de commentaires " fonctionne très bien. Mais il y a une grande part de snobisme la dedans.

      @@clementfrfr6076 The problem for me is when I write a comment and some french dummy tags me and responds in french.There is 0% chance I am going to paste that into google translate to see what they wrote.If the comment is in english,respond in english it's that simple.

      @@JeanPierreDelaitre-gv6mq Ce message ne s'adressant qu'à toi, je me permets de te répondre en français. T'es sur la chaîne de la fédération européenne de handball, qui utilise l'anglais comme langue véhiculaire. C'est vraiment la politesse la plus élémentaire que d'employer la langue commune pour s'adresser aux autres. D'autant plus que le commentateur ci-dessus avait un message à adresser aux autrichiens, il aurait été stupide d'écrire en français pour cela (à la limite en allemand pourquoi pas). De plus, ton message sur la fonctionnalité de traduction de commentaire est complétement hors de propos étant donné que cette fonctionnalité n'est disponible que sur mobile.
      C'est vraiment tragique que beaucoup de français comme toi voient le fait de faire un effort pour pouvoir parler avec des étrangers comme du "snobisme". Les "expats" (immigrés) français sont réputés à l'internationale pour leur refus de s'intégrer à leur pays d'accueil, leur refus d'apprendre la langue et leur tendance à rester entre eux. T'as des gens qui restent une dizaine d'année au Maroc, au Japon ou en Allemagne sans presque jamais interagir avec des marocains, japonais ou allemands. Quel gâchis phénoménal. Cette réputation est tout à fait méritée et est causée par cette attitude que tu nous montre.

    I have no issues with German fans rooting for France as a win from them increases their chance of making it to the semis but booing Austria is quite disgraceful imo, especially after Austria gifted them a draw.

      @absafter I agree.
      I'm also not sure if having three matches on the same day in the same arena is a smart thing to do.
      Have them play the match in a smaller arena somewhere in or near Cologne , but with just Austrian & French fans.
      I mean Handball is not Tennis or Golf where people should be silent.
      But still I agree, back in 2007 when I attended a quarterfinal at the IHF WC in Cologne, I only cheered my German team on, no need to boo the opponent.
      Unfortunately alcohol might have something to do with it, I don't drink, and also don't understand why they serve liquor at these sporting events. 🤷‍♂

    • @andersphilipsen4352

      @@tk80mufa5 The liquor thing is easy to explain. It makes more sponsors possible and more fans to the sport. If no alcohol, it would almost only be families coming in, and the arena wouldn't be filled with loud fans. It's just a simple economical decision :)

    Im sick of france over And over again that they go to semifinals on every tournament. I like france on olympics but Ehf and world wise they are giving extra player from referees. Croatia was only team that could stop them but unlucky that game was rigged. And clumsy game vs hungary. But im very happy for croatia because they was not giving up till the last goal.

      You are good in sports for the size of your population, be happy with that. You can't be better than big country in collectives sport.
      Is france crying because china or usa are winning all gold medal in olympics? France is small compare to usa and china, and croatia is very small compare to france.
