I'm just beginning to use lace on projects...so much to learn. Your cover is beautiful!! I'm going to be creating cards, tags and some file folder minis. Acquiring a variety of laces and trims has taken time, but the look and style is so beautiful...worth all the time and effort.
Love the vintage cover, with all the different laces and the inside. I've used Amazon packaging for a cover also, but mine was very padded (with whatever they put inside it) and crunchy feeling. Yours seemed much flatter, less bulky. But I realized, one signature made mine too bulky. Next time I make another one, with Amazon packaging, I'm adding a larger cardboard spine (maybe 1 1/2"), under the fabric, so I can add 2 or 3 signatures, instead. I prefer more pages. And it would be fun, carrying one like that around, with just coffee dyed pages in it, to write in. Tip for your fabritac glue: add acetone (nail polish remover), to thin it out a little bit. It will ensure that you get all the glue out, and make it spread easier, because it has a tendency to thicken, as it dries out.
Very pretty, love the layering. I made smaller journal covers that I layered with lace, love the look. I am definitely going to make some larger journals, as I have a ton of lace that I really should use up. TFS!
