Always like seeing Tom. He may not remember but when he was at primary school he and my son would play at each others houses. So it is nice to see how well he has done.
It's good writing and beautifully put together . The more the better. Burke and Holliday play it really well and Sue Tully directs it with a respect to film noire.
@@stevewells273 As far as I remember, there are 10 books (I think), and I believe JK Rowling aka RG will continue. An exceptional directing and gorgeous locations. But for me, it is Tom and Holliday, who are simply perfect for the roles, and so underrated. Looking forward to.
I did, nt know it was on l don, t watch BBC often and l loved Strike when it was on before so l am gutted that l missed it this time Tom Burke is such natural actor we Don, t see enough of him and he is handsome as well, but please Don, t go to America like a lot of our actors do
@@mhoward8352 The 5th series is done and is available on BBCi player. Like I said, the best one for me so far. 10 books in total, and JK Rowling is not stopping at all. Tom Burke is indeed an underappreciated, underrated but brilliant British actor, whom I see rarely gracing the UK film and tv industry week in week out like the other ones.
Bloody brilliant omg am soo sad its finished. Binge watched it over Xmas as tv was DIRE.... after watching the muskateers. Need another series of strike to watch go Tom Burke.
This series was recommended to me by a good Friend of mine in Scotland. I am utterly hooked on the show! I really, really hope Strike will continue with many, many more seasons after the current 5 🙏
I love how this series focuses on two misfits and manages to strike (no pun intended) a wonderful balance. It has the noir genre, fitting for the detective genre, but it manages to avoid being too heavy-handed. Very engaging.
Hooked, binge watched every series Strike and Robin’s roles are just awesome and I am hoping there is a happy ending at some point. Bloody love it - just praying we don’t have to wait too long for series 6. 🙏
This series is a television rarity these days. No virtue signalling, no unlikely characterisations, no inappropriate or historically erroneous casting. No bastardisation of the books just to keep the woke crowd happy. The audience is allowed to immerse itself in the stories, superb casting and great direction without needing to hide behind their couches in case the whole thing is wrecked.
For the past week, we have been binge watching the first 5 seasons of Strike, as we love all the main actors. Just finished the 4th episode of Troubled Blood this evening and then to watch this interview online and to discover who his real mum is!!! OMGoodness! Well, won't ruin it for you, but if you didn't watch it before, you must do now! Recently read somewhere that Series 6 (Strike: The Ink Black Heart) is in the works -- we will definitely be watching for it. (Latest information is that it will begin filming in the UK in Q1 2024.)
I just found the series on Crave and disappointed that only Troubled Blood and Lethal White are available in Canada on that platform for now. Loved those two series and these brilliant two actors. Also a huge fan of Rowling’s writings.
Before he took off for the Potter millions,Jason Isaacs was my favourite PI,but Strike is a more than worthy replacement in my affection and I love his new hair style!
I like a lot both the Case Histories books and the Cormoran Strike books (I haven't read the last one for either, I am waiting for the price to go down a bit)
Can't get enough of these 2, love the story, the actors r superb & its gr8 story telling--really enjoying it, especially since everything here in the USA is over sexualized.
I hope it's better on screen, as it was totally hopeless trying to read it on my Kindle. The web chats just didn't show up enough, and made it impossible to get into the plot. In the end I bought the book.
JK is a very clever author. They haven’t yet turned Ink Black Heart into an audio book yet. I wonder if it’s proving too difficult. Strike doesn’t get enough credit. It’s the best series I’ve ever watched. Superb acting 👏👏🌟
Tom Burke. One of the best actors around.
I agree he is amazing 👏
Love the Strike series ..I never want it to end Tom and Holliday are amazing in these roles and excellent writing the books are wonderful
Always like seeing Tom. He may not remember but when he was at primary school he and my son would play at each others houses. So it is nice to see how well he has done.
Loved it. He’s brilliant and Holliday is the most beautiful actress on British TV.
The acting is superb. His grief in his face when Joan dies was really good acting
When he sat on those rocks and broke down! 😭
I'm really enjoying this new series. Let's hope there's more in the pipeline. Brilliant acting from the two main characters
Everything about strike is brilliant, addictive tv
Must watch tv!
Top acting from all
Genius writing from JK of course
Oh love this. He's such a good guy. So calm. Love it
I honestly hope Strike carries - with Tom and Holliday - for another 5 series at least. Please make it happen, Robert Galbraith/JK Rowling.

@@surjegurung Six Strike books so far. JKR hinted that there would be seven, so just one to come.
He plays the part perfectly. I couldn’t imagine any other actor in the role
Hello ❤
@@deerheart87 hey! 😊
JKR chose well. ❤
Although in the books he is a corpulent slob!
They are a brilliant pairing !
He’s such an incredible actor. I first discovered him on “The Musketeers.” Very handsome as well! 🥰
One of the best tv and book series ever.
He's utterly brilliant, but it's in his blood. Look at his parents! Quality shows.😊❤️
Yep his mums in the show!
Lindo maravilhoso, quando volta os mosqueteiros?
Amo os mosqueteiros
Amo, Aramis, photos,Dartanham e Atos
Estava passando na TV Brasil, más acabou, para minha tristeza
He has his marvellous musketeer's hair cut! Excellent. Great actor, perfect for the part.
A great story, from a truly skilled write, brilliant actors. Long may it continue.
Casting is just perfect in this series. Congratulations to all concerned.
The two actors work superbly together in this - the partnership is clear and symbiotic.
Bloody brilliant omg am soo sad its finished. Binge watched it over Xmas as tv was DIRE.... after watching the muskateers. Need another series of strike to watch go Tom Burke.
I bloody love this program
Adore his laid back character!! But come on Strike - show your love for Robin!!!
Binge watched the new series today - time well spent. Really well done especially the casting of the younger/older characters.
I binged watched it too, after episode 1. 😍
This series was recommended to me by a good Friend of mine in Scotland. I am utterly hooked on the show! I really, really hope Strike will continue with many, many more seasons after the current 5 🙏
I love this series. Beautifully presented well written ……excellent cast!
Really enjoying Strike brilliantly played by Tom 👍
Tom burke is a fabulous actor ❤️

Tom Burke is such a great actor. His Mum is fabulous too!
She was amazing!
So is his dad!
I am absolutely memorized by this series... It's the best show I've ever watched.

Same here.

I love these books and then when I discovered the series I loved it all the more!
Great actor and what a voice !
i love how we also admits to loving the books :D its always great to hear an actor enjoys playing the character.
Great acting by Tom Burke in the series.
I love the relationship which has developed between them.
The most heart wrenching scene as they walk away together...and he ALMOST touches her back.....'My best friend.. '
Love this guy, long hair, short hair or bald even. Obviously long hair is best if I had to pick. Seriously he’s an amazing actor.
Love the 'Strike' series. I binged it all again recently. Fabulous
Just loved this series. Such a great writer is our Robert Galbraith aka JKR 🌸👍
Omg his mother is in this new series, how amazing is that.
Great actor. I also loved him in The Musketeers.
Great actor, just finish watching new season. Wonderful story and finally ♥️
Love Tom Burke
Great series, love it. I never realised that Anna Calder - Marshall was his mum! I loved her as Cathy in the 1970 version of Wuthering Heights. 😊
Actor David Burke is his dad.
A great actor, nice guy and as Athos...OMG!!
I totally agree 😀
Yes he was ace as Athos too
I really enjoyed this series. I wish there were more episodes.
Love this show, perfectly executed, beautifully acted, here’s to many more series.
What a gorgeous man ❤
Loved Tom in the musketeers and love him in this ❤
Well I hope theyve started on the next series already...my goodness the author is pretty awesome as well...what a clever mind.
It's brilliant, watching them all on iplayer, hope we get more.
I prefer the long hair to the “establishment” that’s new on Strike but as long as it’s Tom Burke and Holiday Grainger I’m fine.
Oh no the hair is too long, too much beard but yes I wouldn't kick Tom Burke out of bed if he farted.
@@norabrown5584 LOL! I second that emotion. 😋 Loving the longer hair and beard tho.
Can’t wait to see it , brilliant this series is
Outstanding series and acting.

What does woke crowd mean?
@Carlos it means nothing. It's just a partisan dogwhistle used by Rightwingers.
@@Carlos-qh2fmThe identity politics weirdos who hang out on Reddit and Twitter.
Just a nice white cast doing nice white things.
What is woke cried? Isn’t that an American term? This is British TV.
Such a brilliant actor, wonder if that's first time he's appeared with his real life Mum x
If anyone’s interested, he appeared with his father David in Number Thirteen, one of the Ghost Stories for Christmas.
Is it just me or does Tom putting his three musketeers out fit back on?! Please!!!! Loved the series.
I cannot get enough of this series ❤
Neither can I.

They laugh together now. They are more
Partners. They respect each other.

Tom use to be typecast as bullies like in Dragonheart 2 and Great Expectations, but glad he is playing the good guys now!
Really handsome, kida oldschool.

JKR what a writer.
Love the show and the characters! Great acting!
I adore the books and the movies. Thank you, JK!
