    good quick overview...but would be great to go into more details to show, how certain changes affect other things (MPG, wearing certain things sooner out, repairs etc) to get the full picture. People dont realize that the more you change the stock Jeep, the more you are in for future repairs, which empties your pocket even faster..:-)

    Great video as usual... quick question, I have installed a 2” Mopar lift kit on my 2dr JL and upgraded the wheels to 17x9 ProComp rims with -6mm offset (to have the option to put bigger tires in the future) and 285/70 r17 BFG Ko2. Do you think I will have rubbing issues when off-roading with this set up? I do more desert off-roading than rock crawling... thx

    Great Video I wanted to put 20” rims on 35s and keep the same smooth ride that stock has would the spacer lift kit work for what I’m looking for?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  3 года назад +1

      20's along with the stiffer sidewalls of the 35" tires will make your Jeep ride a bit stiffer regardless, but a spacer lift that retains your factory springs and shocks will be the best way to assure your ride quality stays similar to stock. I'd recommend looking for a kit that includes new elongated sway bar links and shock extension brackets as well. Hope this helps! -Zach

    Ryan, great info. We just got a 2020 Wrangler Unlimited Willy's Edition and want to Lift it 2" We are looking to the spacers not for leveling but to lift. We do not off road a bunch, is this a good choice?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  3 года назад

      Spacers are a fine option if you're looking to stick to a budget and want to retain a good bit of your factory handling and ride quality. I'd highly recommend finding a kit that comes with all of the components that you need though including elongated sway bar end links, shock extensions, and all other necessary brackets. -Zach

    My mechanic changed my springs with 4 inches taller without any additional mods, will that affect anything?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  2 года назад +1

      Hey, Ahmed! If you only installed 4 inch springs without any additional mods, your Wrangler likely isn't performance too smoothly on-road or off-road right now. I'd look into getting new shocks fit for 4" lift springs, an adjustable track bar for your front and rear, new longer sway bar links, adjustable control arms, elongated brake lines, and maybe a couple other small pieces to keep your suspension geometry in good shape. Give us a call if you'd like any help! 1-877-870-8556 -Zach

    How can I tell which kit is on my Jeep? I do know it’s a 3.5 inch lift kit but have no clue what brand all of it is. Bought it used and the previous owner did a lot of mods to the Jeep. Most of them were done right to my knowledge and for off roading. I’m just curious about this

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  5 лет назад

      If there are any tags or item numbers on the springs or shocks, you may be able to use them to try and find information on the lift. Aside from that there isn't much else to identify what lift is on there sadly. -Zach

    Thanks

      You're looking more at tire size rather than lift for re-gearing.

    Best lift for weekend. trail riding and camping?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  2 года назад

      I'd look into either a spacer lift kit with some new shocks at the very least, if you aren't doing any major off-roading. If you plan on taking some moderate to difficult trails or rock crawling, I'd look into a 2.5" lift with replacement springs, shocks, and some other hardware. Check out the following links for some options that would work for you and thanks for watching! I personally have been running the Mammoth kit below and have been extremely happy with its performance. -Zach

    Can you put 35’s on a level spacer only lift?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 года назад +3

      If you look into a 2" front and 1" rear leveling kit, you'll be able to slide a set of 35s on your JK with little issues, although I'd expect rubbing. If you're looking at fitting 35s and having enough room to articulate and actually use them, I'd highly recommend looking into a 2.5" lift kit instead of a leveling kit. -Zach
