Hey Curt good to see you back. Hope all has been well. Your video quality hasn't skipped a beat!
Thanks Mike! Good to be back, hopeful to get back up and running routinely. Appreciate it as always!
You never checked the shafts for wear, that is the #1 issue that gives trouble, and you never even looked at them.
Thanks for this video. Would also be a good idea to check the float level before buttoning it up.
Absolutely, a good point.
Thanks a lot for this vidéo ! On my SU ( front ) a'm unable to repositionning the starter lever ( with the spiral lever ). Your hands are too hight in the vidéo and it's a nightmare... Could you explain to me again 🙏 ?... Best regards
Nice! Good work bro!
Thank you!!
Dang... The most important part of the video, at 14:04 is out of camera view! I can't get that darn choke spring in place for the life of me!
Why do the kits always cost quite a bit when they're just gaskets and stuff?
I have the exact same problem with mine (a fuel leak) sadly, I took both carbs fully apart to clean them
Exactly the same car I have ! Primrose '69 GT
@6:40 water is thicker than gas. Better to test in gasoline.
Interesting, so you’re saying a hole/crack could potentially not be identified by water but gas would. Good to know! Thanks!
@@CarsBikesandCoffee oh yes
How does the jet locking nut actually retain the jet while allowing adjustment when centring? I’ve wondered for a while but I’m not prepared to pull mine apart while it is running well lol.
Yeah if it ain’t broke… lol really the linkage that screws to the side of the jet keeps it from falling out.
@@CarsBikesandCoffee haha if it ain’t broke don’t pull it to pieces to see how it works.
where did you get those carb kits? I need a hose for the float bowl like your kit has.
I got them through partsgeek, looks to be currently out of stock. www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/WC/16354-01016078.html?YN&PartsGeek+Google+Base&+MG+MGB+Carburetor+Repair+Kit+Royze+W0133-1622704+68-71+MG+Carburetor+Repair+Kit+1969+1970&fp=pp&gbm=a&PartsGeek+Google+Basecid=6774379819&aid=79287199093&keyword=333602567481%3A%3Apla-333602567481&kid=333602567481&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgo_5BRDuARIsADDEntTXry8lxn2DcwpSaGjFlkrTZwlTIBv3HGhJZn1EY7fEA8C6ilxpLroaAtVvEALw_wcB
when are we seeing the Z again?
Just getting a few final things in this week for suspension and going to get to get back to filming this week. Thanks for your patience, it’s been a long time coming but should go smoothly from here! Also, engine block is at the machinist as we speak! 🤘🏻🔥
