I think Trevor is great. He does have a tendency here and there to airmail a throw, and I don’t know if it’s an overthrow, if his release point is off, whatever. Maybe he gets a little extra adrenaline and just throws it into the cheap seats. I think it was the last game last year and the Jags had to win to make the playoffs. And Trevor airmailed it on fourth down on the final drive and it was over. Trevor has a killer arm, that’s for sure. I think he could think a little more about the situation sometimes, maybe be a little smarter on risk-reward. If he does that he definitely is in the “elite” category. But still the Jags should open the vault for him because he has incredible ability.
So in football when you have a trash oline particularly the center which is the only thing between the qb and the defender it throws off the timing from the entire play. So in trevors mind he’s trying to get the ball out of his hands as fast as possible. And he becomes very uncomfortable. Plays can’t develop. It even speeds up the wr’s to try and get to spots faster than they should. If there’s someone in your face constantly then the ball tends to over shoot or just comes out too fast. If you wanna blame anyone for last years falling apart blame the coaching staff. Because they should have drew up plays to offset the bad oline. But Mark my words if the jags 2024 oline is good this year and can stay healthy he will be top 5 by the end of this year!
If you watch go back and watch the games a good chunk of his INTs came from WR batting the ball up or not being on the same page with his WR. He needs to cut the fumbling though.
