Trevor played sped up because pressure up the middle. He didn't trust his line to hold the ball longer to let stuff develop. Hopefully, the projected starting oline stays healthy and works together better than the line last year

I hear you, but he's had so many games where he's overthrowing guys until the 3rd or 4th drive. I think it's a bit of mental with him too

@@dbaker386 a bottom 5 oline in terms of pass AND run block will for sure destroy your mental abilities.
oline gets better, trevor has trust, trevor can relax, and those overthrows ( even though he was ranked 7th in throws 20 yards or more last season, so this overthrowing thing to me is a little silly to begin with ) will stop.

I think our O-line will do quite better this year. That was the main culprit, especially when ALL of them were injured. If they weren't playing, they were playing injured. Excited to see pressureless Trevor. If he's well protected but still underperforms, then it will be time to worry.

Joe burrow went all the way to the superbowl with the 31st worst offensive line in the league that year. If your THE guy u have to elevate your team. I think Trevor is great. He does have a tendency here and there to airmail a throw, and I don’t know if it’s an overthrow, if his release point is off, whatever. Maybe he gets a little extra adrenaline and just throws it into the cheap seats. I think it was the last game last year and the Jags had to win to make the playoffs. And Trevor airmailed it on fourth down on the final drive and it was over. Trevor has a killer arm, that’s for sure. I think he could think a little more about the situation sometimes, maybe be a little smarter on risk-reward. If he does that he definitely is in the “elite” category. But still the Jags should open the vault for him because he has incredible ability.

So in football when you have a trash oline particularly the center which is the only thing between the qb and the defender it throws off the timing from the entire play. So in trevors mind he’s trying to get the ball out of his hands as fast as possible. And he becomes very uncomfortable. Plays can’t develop. It even speeds up the wr’s to try and get to spots faster than they should. If there’s someone in your face constantly then the ball tends to over shoot or just comes out too fast. If you wanna blame anyone for last years falling apart blame the coaching staff. Because they should have drew up plays to offset the bad oline. But Mark my words if the jags 2024 oline is good this year and can stay healthy he will be top 5 by the end of this year!

He turns the ball over way too much, he locks onto his 1st option a large majority of the time, and quite frankly the only reason he is being fawned all over is because he was drafted #1 overall and these guys (NFL commentators) don’t want to admit being wrong. If Trevor was drafted lower or even out of the 1st round he’d be on the hot seat to be replaced. If the turnovers don’t drop drastically this coming season the story will be written on Trevor and that he’s a guy that had all kinds of physical potential but lacks the mental aspect of the game.

Seriously, Trevor Lawrence is so much better than Kyler Murray that it's not even comparable. Kyler Murray can't even see over his own offensive linemen. He also doesn't study. Apparently, he prefers call of duty over play calls. Come on man. There's this narrative that Trevor Lawrence is a bust and it's completely ridiculous. There are two legitimate points that can be made about Trevor Lawrence and that is he needs to be more consistent and the turnovers need to be fixed. Those are absolutely valid. All the other stuff that people say is just an uninformed, regurgitated narrative from people that do not watch Jaguar games or Trevor Lawrence on a consistent basis. The Jags were eight and three before Trevor got hurt. He probably shouldn't have played in hindsight but he did and that is a fair criticism. But it's not a coincidence that when Trevor got hurt the Jaguars went in the tank. I like Kyler Murray. He's a good little quarterback. But he's not Trevor Lawrence and there's plenty of GM's including Arizona's who would absolutely trade for Trevor Lawrence if he was available.

Chris Simms is why we have “double blind” in research. He gives TLaw double credit for physical traits. Lawrence has put together one good half season in three years. Eventually you gotta judge him on his play and not his traits and “bad circumstances”. Still love me some Chris Simms but just have to discount for his prejudices.
