I just recently learned this myself but you can also kill hellhounds in the wildy slayer dungeon! You don't need a slayer task to do it and it's in multi so you cannon, there's more that spawn there, you get bonus blighted supply drops, and it's pretty safe since it's in Lv21 Wildy (you are also a few steps within the Lv20 line).
I like to farm for my hard clues as well so thought I'd share! Loving the content you put out!
