Even though I don’t understand why God would have these rituals for the people to be cleansed, it makes me so grateful to Jesus. Not only does He give us direct access to the Father but so many times I fall before Him with tears not able to express the struggles I’m going through and knowing Jesus knows better than I do and He speaks for me , what a perfect high priest ! My heart breaks that so many people don’t understand truly what Jesus did, and does for us. If the lost people could just get a glimpse of His heart for each person. People die every day and they lose their choice to believe in Him. I can’t imagine how that hurts our Lord. 🕊️♥️
I can’t imagine how difficult it was to live like that. It’s a good thing that PETA wasn’t around back then. 😅 Yet another reason to be eternally grateful for Jesus.
The four chapters (Leviticus 5 - 8) are full of all forms of offerings with a detailed procedure to sacrifice the animals and the flour. How frustrating must it have been! After all those sacrifices could never remove the sins permanently. Thanks to our Perfect High Priest 🙏🙏🙏 who has become the perfect sacrifice Who replaced all the OT offerings, by One Sacrifice He made us perfect and we became God's righteousness. Now we have free access to the Throne of Grace through Him. 😊😊😊. God bless you Luke for all the readings including the additional references from Psalm 51 and Hebrew 5 about our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.😊😊😊 Praying for you to lift up your spirit!
I agree that it must have been intense to be a priest, especially when Aaron's two sons stepped out of line and were consumed by fire from the alter. "Don't mess up the sacrifice, don't mess up the sacrifice." It would have been a very serious thing to be a priest.
Truly, it is not easy to see that the God in Leviticus is the Father of Jesus. Obviously, I know that He is, but I would be dishonest if I did not admit there is a lot of discord here. Maybe the "craziness" of Leviticus shows us how impossible it is to please God, and thus indirectly points us to Christ. Just a thought....
Thank God for Jesus coming and dying in our place!?! His atonement covers us!

I was thinking the same thing. Imagine if we all still had to sacrifice an animal for our sins! Thank You Jesus! His blood covers all sins. 🕊️♥️
Yes, PETA would NOT approve! 😂

I completely agree
Yes, reading Leviticus reminds me how grateful I am for Jesus!
