    I was wondering about the specifics and the details God told Mosses when making the tabernacle and the altar. How Mosses remembered every detail is also amazing. This was all for the old covenant. However, in the new and the eternal covenant God made it easy for us to access Him through Jesus, who took the punishment of all time on Himself. 😊 Thank you brother Luke and Little Big Things Ministry for making the bible alive for us, not just listening to you, but reading along with you. Double benefits, listening and reading is powerful😊😊😊

    So true. I’m constantly catching myself in the midst of something, having to take a step back, take a breath, and say a silent prayer of… “Because you are God, and I am not. “ And, I wouldn’t want to be. For the most part, what a thankless job . The constant complaints, criticisms, requests, demands. I can’t even begin to imagine what a tragic mess I, or any other human being ,would make of things. We are so lucky that Jesus is eternally patient, faithful, loving and merciful. I always enjoy reading what you post. Thank you.

    I am going to ramble. When I read that God's fire consumed Aaron's sons because they essentially made their own law/ceremony, I quickly thought of Peter at the last Passover. Peter always wanted to be the top dog; he did not want to do what Jesus said to do. First, he said "no", then he pivoted and embellished Jesus' request, and then Jesus finally put him in his place. I have seen things like this occur too many times to count in my own life and in other persons' lives; we think we can capture God by doing something "better", longer, with more sacrifice, and on and on and on. And what are we really doing? I think the answer is that we looking away from Christ. In the end, we, like Aaron's sons and Peter, think we can take the reins now, but we are sadly mistaken. It is so easy to do - so easy! Everything (scripture, our experiences) point to that there is only one way - trusting in Jesus Christ. Sounds easy, but we keep getting in the way. This was a great lesson today. At first it was alarming, but with the help of the commentator the truth broke through. Thank you.

    Even though I don’t understand why God would have these rituals for the people to be cleansed, it makes me so grateful to Jesus. Not only does He give us direct access to the Father but so many times I fall before Him with tears not able to express the struggles I’m going through and knowing Jesus knows better than I do and He speaks for me , what a perfect high priest ! My heart breaks that so many people don’t understand truly what Jesus did, and does for us. If the lost people could just get a glimpse of His heart for each person. People die every day and they lose their choice to believe in Him. I can’t imagine how that hurts our Lord. 🕊️♥️

    Truly, it is not easy to see that the God in Leviticus is the Father of Jesus. Obviously, I know that He is, but I would be dishonest if I did not admit there is a lot of discord here. Maybe the "craziness" of Leviticus shows us how impossible it is to please God, and thus indirectly points us to Christ. Just a thought....

    The bible is a collection of ancient Hebrew literature unsuited to democracy or science. It contains barbaric beliefs and rituals practiced by the Israelite tribes living on the Sinai Peninsula during the Bronze Age. I prefer the Enlightenment offered by our founding fathers and the great American thinkers.

    Amen 🙏🏽 The Lord requires purity and perfection (that we cannot give nor attain) but thank God for Jesus, for being the perfect man in our place! He entered the Holy of Holies and TORE THE VEIL! Hallelujah! … Again, I am amazed at the specificity and detail to the tabernacle! All the fine linens, gold, silver, and bronze, blue purple and scarlet yarn, and precious stones… as well as the garments for ministering!?! - all of this as the Lord commanded Moses! And Moses blessed them. The glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle- amazing, a cloud by day and a fire by night!!

    …let us go where the Lord tells us to! Amazing that Moses spoke with the Lord and saw His Glory pass by!! What an incredible covenant that the Lord made with His people. This struck a chord with me when God said that the firstborn son belongs to Him- makes me think of my son (9 months old); may he be drawn to the Lord! 🙏🏽 … So many specific instructions for the tabernacle and offerings to the Lord. It’s so elaborate and extensive. (Wow) How interesting that Bezalel is mentioned; as he was given the gift of creativity, along with Oholiab and the other skilled workers. They all did their part! … I love 2 Corinthians- glorious, righteousness, hope!! The veil is taken away and live in FREEDOM by the Spirit! … Let us exalt the Lord. The NEW covenant is amazing! May God’s glory transform us and reflect to others! Fullness of joy- Psalm 16:11!! ❤️🙏🏽

    In the middle of the night I woke up wondering why bread "without yeast" keeps coming up in this study? Does anyone have a clear and correct answer? Obviously, it has extreme importance in addition to alluding to the "Passover" in Egypt. There must be at least one other explanation.

    • @dadosinteressantesdecacana582
      @dadosinteressantesdecacana582 7 дней назад

      At the Passover it symbolized the haste of leaving Egypt. Yeast takes time to leaven the dough. Also, yeast is a symbol of sin. Just a tiny amount of an “yeast dough” and the entire dough is affected by it (Gal 5:8). Well, this is how I understand it. But I’d love to learn more.

      @@dadosinteressantesdecacana582 I would like to learn more too about this aspect. I understood the "haste" about the flight from Egypt, but it (no yeast) was mentioned several other times and I am wondering why. Thanks for your response.

    • @TheBibleisAlive-BibleInAYear
      @TheBibleisAlive-BibleInAYear 6 дней назад

      Interesting question Ronald! Dados is right in that the Passover bread is made in haste, and Paul does allude to yeast being a symbol of sin. "A little bit of yeast leavens the whole lump." Sin spreads like a cancer in our lives if we let it. In my own research, the Hebrew tradition was to get rid of all yeast during Passover and then afterwards set fresh dough outside to collect yeast spores that are just in the air. Getting rid of the yeast is a symbol of purification and cleansing (as is much of the Law of Moses) before we stand before our Holy God.

    Every Israelite was shaking with fear when seeing the Egyptians chasing after them. However, Mosses already heard from God how He will deal with the enemy (Exodus 14:4), Mosses comfort the Israelites on verse 14:13-14). That was what exactly happened, the Egyptian army was destroyed. (14:22-30). In such fearful moments, the angel of God who was leading the Israelites went behind them, facing the Egyptians and protecting the Israelites (vers 19). What a wonderful God. Brother Luke, I appreciate how you linked Manna with the Bread of Life in John (Jesus), and how you linked with Psalms 78. Your reflection on God's providence encouraged me to remember and trust in the Lord's provision on my current situation ( being without a job). As to "who I am" I sometimes find myself grumbling about my circumstances, forgetting God's faithfulness. Thank you brother Luke, for helping me see myself and bringing myself back to where I should be. God is using your service. Keep up the good work🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

    Thank you brother Luke! 😊. I was impressed that even though the Egyptians were not believers, after hearing God's judgement, some of them feared the Lord and tried to keep themselves and their livestock inside their houses, away from God's wrath and were saved. Some of the Pharaoh's officials also warned the king. Yet in his stubbornness Pharaoh let the whole of Egypt be devastated. Mosses' boldness to stand before pharaoh and administering God's judgement is remarkable. Even if Pharaoh warned to kill him if seen before the king, Moss was not afraid of announcing the devastating judgment of God on every Egyptian firstborn, including the king's son. What a faith, what a confidence, what a prophet to listen to God's voice with every detail. 😊😊😊 God is awesome to use anyone for his divine purpose. Praise the Lord!

He is the Lord who heals us! May we not complain like the Israelites did. Let us gather what we need… Manna means “what is it?” 😂 Amen that Jesus is the TRUE bread of life!! He provides!

    Let us be “exceedingly fruitful” in spiritual things!! Just as God heard the Hebrews’ groans, He hears our cries for help! God is concerned for us too ❤️ I AM is with us 🙏🏽 God can use us even when we feel inadequate like Moses did. God’s not finished with us yet… Praise the Lord for His enduring love!! Let us remember His words of truth and mercy 🙂

    It is amazing me to that the Israelites had miracle after miracle but still would doubt the Lord and his goodness.

      Yes, as I've been reading through the Old Testament, it's shocking how quickly the Israelites (and us Christian today) can turn on God and reject him.

      @ it is so easy to be righteous, isn’t it? I came to realize this morning that I have been being just like the Israelites. Grumbling about what I didn’t have and taking for granted the miracles God has and is doing in my life.

      @ I've been there too. Way too many times than I care to admit! It's incredible how patient and kind God is with us. He's more generous and good than I think we really understand.

    Spiritual blessings are found in adverse circumstances. God’s love shines brightest in the dark. May we always hold his hand in childlike trust and remember that He will never let us lose our way.

    The church today and always needs to be more aware of sin. So many want the good things from God but don’t want to stop their sinning. His love endures forever is so reassuring that He will never leave us. What an amazing God we serve and Holy. Ty for the Bible study today. God bless you. 🕊️♥️

    It’s also an example of how negative reinforcement and punishment usually has an immediate and temporary result or reward. When Jesus came, he showed us the example of unconditional love and how it has infinite power.. The armor of Christ is love.

    It’s interesting that God chose Moses, in spite of or even because of his speech impediment. Often throughout the Bible, there are examples of God, choosing people that have impediments or weaknesses. The refrain, “Why me ?” echoes throughout both the Old and New Testament . Weaknesses and impediments are like cracks or openings that allow the light of His presence to shine forth. The weaker the vessel, the more obvious His strength, the more obvious and effective the display of His incomparable power. There isn’t any excuse for us to say that we are unable to be in service for the Lord. All we need is faith and willing heart. I also wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the prayer today. Thank you.

      Thank you for sharing, Desalegn! I have been recording 1st Samuel, and the whole storyline of 1st and 2nd Samuel is one of my favorites in the Bible. Even Numbers has some amazing nuggets of gold hidden in there.

    “God’s plans often defy our expectations.” We never know what to expect. We woke up to snow on the ground here in Florida! I grew up in the north, so it wasn’t as much of a big deal for me as it was for a lot of my neighbors. Many of them have never lived anywhere, but Florida. Some of the older ones are saying that they aren’t going to drive anywhere today because they’re afraid. It’s hard to understand if you don’t put it in context. It made me think… Our God is a big picture God. We only see a minuscule part of the world. We only see a small moment in time and He sees everything that ever was, and ever will be. Only by faith can we navigate our lives and fulfill our purpose and our destiny. Thanks again Luke. This is a great way to start the day. God bless you and your loved ones.

      So true Angela! We see such a small part of God's giant plan for all of humanity. We just need to be more like a child and trust our Father.

    Amen. I’m so grateful for this Bible study each day. Everywhere you read in the Old Testament shows us God’s great love and mercy , His steadfastness. He is always faithful and never changing even though we aren’t faithful and change daily. What an honor and complete joy to know we belong to Jesus . 🕊️♥️
