@@Honeypot-x9s 1. I'd like to see you act rationally in a chase. When you're being hunted by a server I bet you wont be looking at things in a rational way in how to escape just where do I go next to loose people. 2. Jumping into parking lots and alleyways are the best ways to lose chasers, it makes you harder to track and you have more chance in making an escape as they cant track you're line of sight. If you just went on the freeway you are so easy to trace and then you'll eventually hit the city limit. 3. The inclusion of the pri's are to make the video more entertaining to watch, if Alex is incognito it would make for a rather boring watch as the hunters would have a lower chance of finding Alex. 4. Furthermore, Alex has won multiple STHs where he has blown up many Pri's, the Pri's are only a vague indication as to where he is not an exact indication. Alex would never detonate a Pri willingly in front of chaser other than a desperate throw when he's mid chase and he normally doesnt slow down. He only did in this vid as he wasnt going to escape anyway so he thought he may as well. 5. Alex can most definitely shoot on foot, it's where he has a gun advantage although if he is on foot he'll most likely die due to the hunters having more numbers. 6. If you have any better ideas in how you would be considerably better in a STH scenario then I'd like to hear them cos if not, keep your self entitled opinions to yourself rather than hating on someone else because you have nothing better to do.

@@calebjacobson3139 would probably have been a better move than getting out against who knows how many hunters were there. But that's the fun part of STH, the little mistakes leading to great consequences (usually death)
if left to their own devices; it will get very campy and very boring, very quickly. i'd say have every team go for an objective. here's a simple way to implement it: FR has a set amount of lives and then each team has to see how many times they can find FR and kill him while trying to defend themselves from other hunters. so pretty much "hunt: showdown" but in GTA.
I still suggest it should start with one hunter and the rest survivors, then as each survivor is killed they become a hunter until all the survivors are found.
@@musicalhistory4392 What if you have like 3 hunters and 12 hidding. Each time someone is hunted he joins the team of the hunter who found him and starts to hunt with him!
Love the survive the hunt game idea and watch all of them. I wish rockstar would make this an actual game mode to prevent cheating utilizing most of the rules.
Ever tried to blend with the hunters though? Start in any car but you're allowed to spawn any "road car" whenever you want. Thus you can take the same car as a hunter mid-hunt and blend with them?
That would not be very feasible as the hunters talk to each other and if they saw one of them where he wasn't supposed to be they would know right away
@@VascoCC95 They don't talk about themselves too much and also that's why I said mid-hunt. He shouldn't be doing that all the time of course. But they don't stay together either. The blimp could be problematic but they could do it without it. He would definitely get spotted from time to time but probably not more than usual if rules are properly balanced.
How he did it was perfect. There is probably many other ways that can be done but it also needs to be entertaining to watch. Just hang out at pedestrian areas like or, pretend to be a parked car, but that's not fun.
Survive The Hunt videos are my absolute favorite on this channel. The best part is that no two are ever the same, and you have no idea how they are going to turn out. The tension of watching all of the close calls is exhilarating! This game mode shows off the skill of all of the players involved, which is really great to watch. I get so excited every time a new Survive The Hunt video is released! Keep up the great work!!
This reminds me of the DOJ episode when Buggs and Polecat drove tanks around and blew everybody up, explaining why they dont do this, and it's only to show why they dont. I love the content man!
13:21 ....to be clear, you are a *great* driver. I have yet to see anyone who handles traffic and last minute obstacles as well as you do. I love Survive The Hunt! It should be an official freemode event.
Id like to see you hunt the hunters, mostly hide, then when you identify one, or a small group, sticky bomb them, or use whatever your best weapon is. Hide and snipe them, set up traps. Actively hunt and hide at the same time
Thanks for showing us some of the more unusual tactics. Personally imo, I think a little more fighting back, that is being the aggressor, might behoove you to some extent to thin the hunters herd some. Strategically done, an ambush spot where they have to slow down, maybe have stuff to play with to distract them, and set up a getaway car and route.
My suggestion has always been that YOU NEED TO HIDE YOUR FIRST CAR and not abandon it in the roadway, WHENEVER possible. That way the hunters don't know which way you've come from or which way you've gone.
This is an issue that only really affects trying it in the North of the map. Where he abandons the car there leaves a huge indicator as to where he has gone. In the city it doesn't matter so much, he can go any direction he pleases.
@@RuBa1Z I clicked on this a few weeks back just to throw the algorithm a bone, and was amazed to discover I was glued to the screen for well over an hour: ruclips.net/video/GF8hMhMlnmg/видео.html - though I'm pretty sure the GTA V version would be more akin to watching paint dry!
Hunters would have a massive advantage, it's alot easier to shoot at something you're chasing than to shoot backwards at something chasing you. And all you'd need is 1 Hunter to shoot one of failrace's wheels to end the chase
Gavin Klausner not if the passenger can use any weapon. Hunters will have to focus on broadsiding or risk a c4 to the face. Also since this sounds like a death heavy kind of chase hunter have to wait 5 minutes before they can get in a vehicle and re-enter the hunt. Passenger has a 10 minute timer. Mr. Failrace himself is basically the golden snitch. Game ends when he dies or 24 IGHs have elapsed.
Hello FailRace, doubt you'll see this, but i'm gonna say it anyway. me and my friends adapted this survive the hunt on ps4, we dont have many hunters as you do, but we do city hunts and blaine county hunts. Next time you try BC hunts try it with less people like 6-8, we have about 6 people on as an average, and we include paleto and grapeseed, that little bit to the Northeast of sandy shores with the other side limiting at the lumber yard, perhaps try this if you ever want to do another one in BC. our city ones are a little slow but we have a force of elite drivers (ish) that can cover the city quickly. Anyway, if you read this that'd be amazing and i hope i helped, to anyone else reading this, definitely do these hunts with your friends, theyre super fun.
Survive The Hunt where you run the entire time can work, and would change things up nicely. All you need to do is get rid of air support, and be allowed to switch cars. Also, what ever happened to that mod where you run from the police and military, but it is a GTA circuit race. I have only seen that once since watching this channel, but it was great! Main Reasons I watch the channel: GTA Survive The Hunt GTA Racing: Escape Cops and the Military Edition Forza Horizon: Hunt the Survivors Forza Horizon: Race Up The Hill Tournament
He once tried entering the airport but got gunned down. I also think he's specifically limited to cars; how are they gonna kill FR if he's in the air? All they can use is pistols and shotguns mind you!
I haven't played GTA5 in years. Watching your videos have reminded me how fun it is. Don't have any friends that like the game so I don't like multiplayer but the campaign is fun.
One strategy I always wanted to see you try is to grab a totally crap car and try to dive into a Mod shop and soup it up like crazy, become a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Very nice episode of experimenting with different tactics and showing why your usual one is mostly the most entertaining and successful. My idea for spicing up survive the hunt with the regular rules (in the city limits, hunters only allowed mid-tier cars): Only use your own stored cars +You can store up very casual looking cars, that spawn everywhere +You can upgrade them to give you an edge on escaping -You can only get a new car by calling the mechanic -Very hard to get to a mechanic delivered car without being noticed
Great stuff. My favorite of all these has to be the one where 2 guys had your coordinates and chased you across the map, you wrecked your car and jumped on a train. That was epic.
Idea for Survive the hunt. Not sure if this has been done or suggested before but I think it would be fun to see. Survive the Hunter (Pink Pri Edition) 24hrs in-game time limit, no hud, map, gamertags. City boundaries. All players drive pink Prius (allowed to communicate) Must stay in cars and on roads. (Can repair if needed) Must escape or evade only, cannot attack the hunter. Alleyways, off-road, carparks etc, are off-limits unless in an active chase. The Hunter (you) can only drive vehicles that spawn in-game session. No weaponized vehicles or aircraft. You have 24 hours to find and kill all pink pri players Use whatever weapons you want. No target locking weapons. Use your game experience to modify the rules to make a balanced and fun game.
not watched the video yet, i wanna see if I get surprised and my suggestion gets addressed without me knowing LOL and if not wanna see the FR communities take on it. the idea is a simple one, what if when the hunter's kill an AI character, they are required to be inactive in the hunt in some specific way for some specific time. (both to be decided by the hunters and FR together). It would encourage hunters to be more proactive in identifying non-AI and being sure they are killing non AI. Rather then just killing an AI they think is being silly just to get rid of it. IDK its an idea that probably wont work for one or another reason but one I had in my head for a bit of time.
I want just once for you to actually just hide in the most secluded spot you can find. I know you say it’s be boring but I think it’d be a funny troll for them to spend 40 minutes checking cars and you’re actually just hiding
Great to do with friends, but unfortunately no one would be watching it for 30+ minutes. It's impossible to find a man sized target in a giant city without any assists.

That walking bit was frustrating to watch, it seemed like FR wasn't really in it trying to make it work. I'm not saying that he sabotaged it but... none of these attempts feel like they were attempted in earnest but just sort of ran as s*** attempts so he can try and squash people suggesting other ideas, although maybe that is just because it is one fail after another for semi-stupid reasons.
Thanatos I agree I feel like going on foot could work really well given the right execution. If I were to play I’d definitely use a mixture of wacky vehicles and risky on-foot manoeuvres because that’s what gives us the near misses and close calls that make these videos fun to watch. Too often FR plays it safe but also too predictably choosing the same cars which he knows will make for an easy getaway and driving round the same routes usually ending up in the hills whilst giving the same dialogue which makes a fun idea boring and repetitive. I’ve come to turn certain episodes off once realising it’s gonna be the same old story.
That's not true for those of you that dont know this has been in the works since around September We actually filmed a section long ago with the truck but I believe he lost it. We were thinking about running another one on foot but by the time we finished it was around 12 oclock at night
@@automan3215 I'm not in the know but I can imagine that putting these together takes a good amount of time. "Survive The Hunt" is always a must-watch for me but it is getting stale so I'm not opposed to trying new things even if they don't really work because I would like to see something else. Yes, the tried and true strategy works and has been working even better as of late but it isn't that much fun to watch anymore.
@@numerouno7414 Hey Uno, that's pretty much where I am at. Things are starting to get stale from the viewer's point of view. I'm sure it is still fun to play, but watching the same strategy over and over again isn't fun to watch. I wish I had something to suggest about making the game mode/rules better but everything that I can think up seems like it would be a super benefit to one side over the other. While I think it is getting boring to watch I think it is as balanced as it can be. I was going to suggest all players except fly-boys have to drive stock cars but that helps FR immensely so I don't even consider that fair in of itself.
I think an interesting twist on it would be "Survive the Chase" - similar to the strategy where you just stay in the starter car, you have to survive a gauntlet run across the entire map. Rather than winning when the time runs out, you lose - your window to escape has closed and you're stuck.

you know what? after this video i'm more sure now that fast car works in survive the hunt. you survived for a long time and died just because you drove into that same parking lot. again. stop doing it please, its just a suicide.
Well, that's his point: When you're running around like this, you don't have the time to pay much attention to where you are going, as long as you are going. Thus you are prone to errors, be it your own or some derpy AI pulling across right in front of you. I'd say try it yourself, racing around in the city for a whole hour. Would be interesting to see how often you wreck your car.
The last one reminded me of the "Busted" videos on GTA IV. It was always hilarious to see all the hunter cars piling up at the end. Maybe you can do such in GTA V? That would be amazing!
This answers all lingering questions and wonders. It was an essential video to show as to why these other potential methods aren't very plausible for the sake of the game. And I would have to agree. The original formula is the more formidable, true tested set which works best for this type of playthrough.
I find that the NPC's around Harmony tend to be more aggressive than the ones in town (especially the ones on dirt bikes). They are more likely to pull a gun on you for so much as looking at them... Love all the FailRace videos, by the way.
How about: Start in the city with a normal fast car you usually use (just start with vehicle the hunters don't know) Upgrade the car in customs (only brake, armour, engine and transmission, NO Turbo) Car = faster Car = stealthy When you need a new car, grab a new one, and when you get the chance, upgrade it. Repeat!
Next STH: drive out of dock area. Obtain truck. Drive back into dock area and laugh heartily as everyone drives into the city, giving you even more of a head start Double-bluff: make everyone think you think this is a good strategy, but don't do it. making the hunters less eager to leave the dock area just in case you've doubled-back. Win-win!
I still think you should run a mid month secondary Survive the Hunt series. The no limits one was amazing and could be good fun. Especially if you try combining other ideas into it. Maybe build a fleet of cars you use for it. Drive away and call in a built personal car, when it gets burned get away, call mechanic for a new toy if you get a big enough gap. Run some wacky mid month survive the hunts they could be an amazing spin off series
The start of your videos always reminds me of that classic Seinfeld episode when the gang keeps addressing themselves by saying "helllooooooooo, la la la." You're just missing that last bit lol. Love the vids.
Some more suggestions: - Hiding in an allyway. - Going for a mix of everything. I know switching things up is risky, like switching cars for example, but if you switch from being in a car to being on foot they might be really confused as to what to look for.
"Why we don't do stuff" *best seaside chase ever* How about reworking the formula for the northern part? Slower vehicles for the hunters (so they have to rely on coordinating interceptions and trying to keep you in sight), no personal vehicles (so the cops are a problem for everyone and you have a better chance of getting away), maybe limited sticky bomb usage (so you're allowed to lay a couple of traps), Pris to blow up so there are points of interest but you're also allowed to shoot them, like from a nearby roof... basically stuff that lets people hunt for you in an area, but where you're not immediately screwed if you're seen or you do something while someone's nearby. It just seems like a cool setting to play around in, if you can tweak the rules to make it work for that environment
Idea: Have the hunters only use heavy slow vehicles, and you cannot use any sports car or faster, probably also not muscle cars, so you can use vans and trucks without being too much slower than the hunters. This would mean you would be limited to areas where heavy traffic if any kind, including vans, spawns, but it might be enough fun for a video.
Personally I love the Northern Survive the Hunt. I still think it could make a different type of survival situation. It could lead to more shootouts because of your weapons' superior range. I think that there is still more to be explored. Also, i think the central mountain passes could be interesting to attempt Survive the Hunt in.
I didn't notice before that AI peds don't cross the road. But I like seeing the northern suburbs for a change. Why not start a chase up there once in a while? Start in the mountains and then be able to run anywhere. Either way, variations on the same old norm are welcome. More experiments would be great. Keep up the fun work!

John Smith would be brilliant
like blending in and hunting at the same time? That would be awesome!
if left to their own devices; it will get very campy and very boring, very quickly.
i'd say have every team go for an objective.
here's a simple way to implement it: FR has a set amount of lives and then each team has to see how many times they can find FR and kill him while trying to defend themselves from other hunters.
so pretty much "hunt: showdown" but in GTA.
That hunter tricking him into copying his moves was genius.
It was completely accidental I actually believe I dropped my controller it fiddled the stick when it landed
How can you get royalties for such a game mode
I want to see a survive the hunt from the hunter's perspective, hearing their communication and strategies would be interesting
I like the outtakes shows how much they put into these episodes and how much you appreciate all of them for how much they put into it
How he did it was perfect. There is probably many other ways that can be done but it also needs to be entertaining to watch. Just hang out at pedestrian areas like or, pretend to be a parked car, but that's not fun.
The thing that I get from this is the hunters never really know what to expect Alex to do. He's a lot less predictable to the hunters than I thought.
Can you do more heists and custom heists (security detail, assassins) and other challenges? They're a ton of fun
I second this!!
Sth and custom heists, it does not get any better than that.

Id like to see you hunt the hunters, mostly hide, then when you identify one, or a small group, sticky bomb them, or use whatever your best weapon is. Hide and snipe them, set up traps. Actively hunt and hide at the same time
That would require some cheating... Else he would not survive after the first kill
@@VascoCC95 maybe a little cheating... he always loses in the gunfights, but he is always being defensive, he should try sneaky, but offense
Last time I was this early, Nissan still made cheap reliable fun cars
My suggestion has always been that YOU NEED TO HIDE YOUR FIRST CAR and not abandon it in the roadway, WHENEVER possible. That way the hunters don't know which way you've come from or which way you've gone.
This is an issue that only really affects trying it in the North of the map. Where he abandons the car there leaves a huge indicator as to where he has gone. In the city it doesn't matter so much, he can go any direction he pleases.
Suggestion: do a Survive The Hunt using the full map, and just sit on a train for the entire thing.

Hey weird idea. Survive the Hunt Tag team. Hunters can use pistols in their cars. But you also have a passenger who can shoot out the back.
That's really interesting idea

Main Reasons I watch the channel:
GTA Survive The Hunt
GTA Racing: Escape Cops and the Military Edition
Forza Horizon: Hunt the Survivors
Forza Horizon: Race Up The Hill Tournament
It will probably not end well, but I want to know what happens anyway. What if you steal a plane at the airport?

I haven't played GTA5 in years. Watching your videos have reminded me how fun it is. Don't have any friends that like the game so I don't like multiplayer but the campaign is fun.
Idea: slowly set up ambushes for the hunters, and turn the tables on em
One strategy I always wanted to see you try is to grab a totally crap car and try to dive into a Mod shop and soup it up like crazy, become a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"They never found the Formula 1 car"
Haha thats cause you drove it into a lake
Very nice episode of experimenting with different tactics and showing why your usual one is mostly the most entertaining and successful.
My idea for spicing up survive the hunt with the regular rules (in the city limits, hunters only allowed mid-tier cars):
Only use your own stored cars
+You can store up very casual looking cars, that spawn everywhere
+You can upgrade them to give you an edge on escaping
-You can only get a new car by calling the mechanic
-Very hard to get to a mechanic delivered car without being noticed
firetrucks are realy fast i had the half an hour rampage and was consistently escaping cops plus they are relay heavy
Great stuff. My favorite of all these has to be the one where 2 guys had your coordinates and chased you across the map, you wrecked your car and jumped on a train. That was epic.

Idea for Survive the hunt.
Not sure if this has been done or suggested before but I think it would be fun to see.
Survive the Hunter (Pink Pri Edition)
24hrs in-game time limit, no hud, map, gamertags. City boundaries.
All players drive pink Prius (allowed to communicate)
Must stay in cars and on roads. (Can repair if needed)
Must escape or evade only, cannot attack the hunter.
Alleyways, off-road, carparks etc, are off-limits unless in an active chase.
The Hunter (you) can only drive vehicles that spawn in-game session.
No weaponized vehicles or aircraft.
You have 24 hours to find and kill all pink pri players
Use whatever weapons you want.
Ok - so I started following your channel at the beginning of lockdown. I’ve now watch every GTA survive the hunt. Please make more.... 🙏 😊

I guess just once. But maybe that would work as an April Fools joke. Since it's past, I don't know if it's that funny to do on a random day.
Great to do with friends, but unfortunately no one would be watching it for 30+ minutes. It's impossible to find a man sized target in a giant city without any assists.

You can extend the trucks usage by finding a trailer, imo :P
Hands down the best survive the hunt on youtube, many try to emulate but nobody comes close
Suggestion to try out: Get onto easy-to-defend rooftops, and try to snipe the hunters
Not entertaining to watch. Sorry. 50 minutes of sitting on a rooftop. How is that fun?
@@X33Ultras0und Not just sitting on a singular rooftop, if you noticed, I mentioned plural rooftops, which means that he would have to move around. That was an interesting look behind the curtains. Looking forward to the next Survive the Hunt.

Use mods to spawn into the back seat of a chasers car, and watch how long it takes them to notice
Bumpy: "Wait, why am I getting in the back of the car?"
Could do the truck and all of them have to use the smart car >_
I think an interesting twist on it would be "Survive the Chase" - similar to the strategy where you just stay in the starter car, you have to survive a gauntlet run across the entire map. Rather than winning when the time runs out, you lose - your window to escape has closed and you're stuck.

The car park is a suicide, but he could've died at any point in the game before that, especially at those 2 ultra lucky moments

The last one reminded me of the "Busted" videos on GTA IV. It was always hilarious to see all the hunter cars piling up at the end. Maybe you can do such in GTA V? That would be amazing!
when ur so early it says no views
This answers all lingering questions and wonders. It was an essential video to show as to why these other potential methods aren't very plausible for the sake of the game. And I would have to agree.
The original formula is the more formidable, true tested set which works best for this type of playthrough.
all of this was his mistakes, especially that sports car lmao wtf was that
I find that the NPC's around Harmony tend to be more aggressive than the ones in town (especially the ones on dirt bikes). They are more likely to pull a gun on you for so much as looking at them... Love all the FailRace videos, by the way.
How about:
Start in the city with a normal fast car you usually use (just start with vehicle the hunters don't know)
Upgrade the car in customs (only brake, armour, engine and transmission, NO Turbo)
Car = faster
Car = stealthy
When you need a new car, grab a new one, and when you get the chance, upgrade it.
Repeat!
Next STH: drive out of dock area. Obtain truck. Drive back into dock area and laugh heartily as everyone drives into the city, giving you even more of a head start
Double-bluff: make everyone think you think this is a good strategy, but don't do it. making the hunters less eager to leave the dock area just in case you've doubled-back. Win-win!
That's a very Rimmy looking Nero you've got yourself there, Alex.
You know that's exactly what I told him at the time. lol
Some more suggestions:
- Hiding in an allyway.
- Going for a mix of everything. I know switching things up is risky, like switching cars for example, but if you switch from being in a car to being on foot they might be really confused as to what to look for.
"Why we don't do stuff" *best seaside chase ever*
How about reworking the formula for the northern part?
I absolutely love your survive the hunt videos, and always think tactics to how I would do things differently.
I'd love to see the after chase discussion and hunter's point of view after every episode. I loved those the most! I'd watch the whole hour of it.
Hrmm... Is there a hint of sarcasm in this comment?
Alex quite often frequents the hills area during the hunts.
No matter how impractical, the truck was glorious!
