To all those still unsure about the authenticity of this clip, it is indeed a creative edit, or as some like to say, 'fake'. The underwater shots with the shark are from the Australian horror film 'The Reef', released in 2013. It has been edited together with some GoPro footage and I must say the individual (or group?) behind this have done a really great job. Likely a film/creative student from Sydney.

It doesn't look like it teleports at all. When the guy puts his feet in front of him the camera moves to the right thus moving the shark further to the edge of the camera. If you keep replying the little section you can see the shark stay in place and appear to change position because of the motion of the camera. The key thing here though is as the camera jerks you can see the entire transition of the sharks location relative to what you see. A teleport would be instantaneous.The camera jerks harshly and how far away it is can often be misleading due to various factors in how the water reflects light.

Instead he should've, slowly backed away, limiting the amount of splashing, while maintaining eye contact with the shark - it was only being curious. What most people don't realise is that sharks like humans have feeding times. The 2nd time I went to the Maldives I seen it in action (totally missed it the 1st time) but ye early morning they hunt and push fish close to shore and birds join in to make it even more chaotic all at like 6am to 7am, after that you see fish and sharks next to eachother and no one even does anything, fish not scared and sharks not eating them. The 1st time I thought was weird but after the 2nd time I was there I realised it was just the time between breakfast and dinner lol

I've run this video FRAME BY FRAME (using editing software) at 0:59:18 you can see that the Shark was on different angle but when it came to another 1 frame 0:59:19 the shot change to another angle with the Shark on different angle (closer to him) this is called A JUMP CUT in editing world. This method is really good to deceiving viewers eyes that got FAST ACTION (movement) in the footage. I'll say this video is edited.

It doesn't look like it teleports at all. When the guy puts his feet in front of him the camera moves to the right thus moving the shark further to the edge of the camera. If you keep replying the little section you can see the shark stay in place and appear to change position because of the motion of the camera. The key thing here though is as the camera jerks you can see the entire transition of the sharks location relative to what you see. A teleport would be instantaneous.The camera jerks harshly and how far away it is can often be misleading due to various factors in how the water reflects light.

What most people don't realise is that sharks like humans have feeding times.
The 2nd time I went to the Maldives I seen it in action (totally missed it the 1st time) but ye early morning they hunt and push fish close to shore and birds join in to make it even more chaotic all at like 6am to 7am, after that you see fish and sharks next to eachother and no one even does anything, fish not scared and sharks not eating them.
The 1st time I thought was weird but after the 2nd time I was there I realised it was just the time between breakfast and dinner lol

Well that could be true but I think they are creatures of habit and don't have things like the Internet or computers to get in the way, the ones I seen hunted in packs too so some atleast would need to work as a group (at least to do the way I seen).

actually, the only thing sharks have done over time is shrink. They used to be 2, 3 times the size of humpback whales. So as the rest of the sea life got smaller, so did they. You can look it up on the internet, pretty interesting stuff :)

I've run this video FRAME BY FRAME (using editing software) at 0:59:18 you can see that the Shark was on different angle but when it came to another 1 frame 0:59:19 the shot change to another angle with the Shark on different angle (closer to him) this is called A JUMP CUT in editing world. This method is really good to deceiving viewers eyes that got FAST ACTION (movement) in the footage. I'll say this video is edited.

I was actually content to accept it as real, yet still not that excited. Many people have been eaten by sharks in that area to be fair, and sleeping/non-hungry sharks do loiter in deep shaded water like that. But the perspective suddenly becomes more than a bit odd exactly when you say, combined with the faux-underwater shouting, I think he recorded that whilst gargling underwater in the bath, used to do that as a young'un, great fun!
