Anna, Not once in this video or situation did I see you break down and cry that things were not going as you expected. It is truly a testament to your fortitude as a person. I'm slowly learning to see the positives in every situation. I think that rainbow was truly fitting for this video; all storms pass and we simply have to look forward to the sunshine. Thank You so much for Sharing and Safe Travels. 🙂 (oh and enjoy your time off, its important to know when the time calls for it)
Hi - I'm slightly bemused by the fact that you, an American, are reintroducing me (a native BCer with, admittingly dated, outdoor experience) to my "backyard". So, thank-you. I'm truly jealous, but I have nobody but myself to blame for being detached from the monumental nature I live so close to. That magnificent elk, Abraham lake and then summitting Windy Point Ridge: it's so satisfying to tag along. Thanks a bunch. That's an abandoned bulldozer track. BC's full of abandoned equipment, towns, ... Always with the gourmet food in the impossibly grand natural settings. On the theme of jealously, I'm also very appreciative for my vicarious enjoyment. Best from Dawson languishing in Vancouver
I felt the same when she rolled though Washington State. I've lived here for years and haven't seen or appreciated half of what she saw in a few days. Although she didn't get the joy of being stuck in hwy 2 traffic on a cold rainy morning on two wheels. 😆
Oh, Anna, you are a delight! “That’s nice eh?” Was that a shout out to your Canadian viewers or do you use, “eh” regularly? Thank you for another amazing video. I always love to see your smiling face, hear your giggle and see what you’re up to. So glad you did your very smart regular maintenance check!
Ma'am I have to tell you I'm 53 years old. It took me so long to learn patience and how to go around with a smile on my face even when they was adversity. I have been rich and I have been poor. I have had many things taken from me. And I have has many blessings. In about midlife made a new rule. Kiss, keep it simple stupid. Everyday I wake up it's a new day. I do not even think about yesterday. Unless I made an obligation that I must attend to. And I go to the day with a smile on my face in the knowledge that there's nothing anybody can do to break my spirits. And I have to compliment you on your smile and personality. And you live in your life to the fullest. No matter what adversities. And absolutely seems to come natural to you. Thank you for being such a wonderful being. I am absolutely sure but you are the light in the darkness for so many people.
I'm very glad you are enjoying our country. On behalf of my fellow Canadians, we love having you here, and welcome you to stay, and explore as long as you can. Perhaps you will apply for a Canadian citizenship, that would be terrific.....lol. Anna, on another note, I have spent a great deal of time in the forests of British Columbia, and Alberta. I highly encourage you to carry bear spray with you. It's not like the US. Canada is thick with large wildlife. Although more abundant in other areas, they are still quite prevelant in the regions you are currently in. It is highly effectiive with bears, and other wildlife like large cats as well. I look forward to your future uploads. Safe travels my friend........
11.56: 75 million years ago those metal centipedes roamed the earth! They were vicious, tracking down the hills, laying tracks everywhere! Nobody was safe from these bloodlusty tracks, and the tracking just continued until the Cretaceous period ended with a big boom! :) -Or maybe it's just some old tracks from an excavator. I will go with the first, because it's more exciting :D Anyway: You are a great storyteller, filmmaker and editor. Keep up the good work, Anna :) @forestyforest would be proud :)
LOL. Good storey, very creative. I agree, excavator or old bulldozer tracks left behind from when they were putting the road through. I like your storey better though.
Hi Anna 🤗 Thank you for sharing these great shots of that incredibel landscape, love your videos so much, stay safe, lovely greetings from Andreas and Balou xx 🐾 ❤️ 🇨🇦
You made my day Anna, when you stopped in front of Mt Mitchener on Abraham Lake I was grinning from ear to ear. I'm an amateur night scape photographer and made a panorama at that spot complete with the milky way and Venus cresting the peak . Windy ? Oh God if I were wearing a toupee it would have wound up on the face of Mitchner. You have incredible parents and Grandfather. They must be just busting with love and pride for what you have accomplished..I know I would. Many happy journeys Anna, please be safe and always know you have a friend in Alberta . PS The long caterpillar looking thing you saw on your hike was the track off of a bull dozer. All the best Ray 😊
Miss the bloops BUT LOVING YOU WALKING BACK TO PICK UP THE TRIPOD! It reminds us viewers that you youtubers add kilometers/ miles to your hikes for our entertainment! I appreciate that!
Be extra careful Anna when you climb like that, just a twisted ankle can put you in dangerous predicament . I'm sure your well aware and are but you know happenstance. Well better put Jasper on the list thanks for a great little preview.
Thank you Anna! Beautiful views! Thank you for sharing. You are right. All vehicles need repairs, just like washing machines, stoves, plumbing, rooms need to be repainted.....all part of life. Fantastic how far you walked up. Hope you are staying warm. It is starting to get colder. Soon there may be snow in Alberta. Even in ON, the heat is on. Take care! Stay safe and have a great week! Eileen 💕🇨🇦😊
Anna you have such a positive attitude!! I've spent time camping in the mechanic parking lot waiting for parts ...great great great drone shots ... you've become quite the photographer ... mountaineer ... all-round fun ... exciting person to be around ...oh yes... tractor tread for sure... good for you...take a well deserved rest ..thank you for all that you do 🙏❤️
Hi Anna.that would be a track from a dozen or excavator,or tree harvester.Glad you got your van fixed before you got to the middle of nowhere.Have fun and be happy.Maybe you can make it east and see all the beautiful fall colors of the forest. So many beautiful bright red, orange ,and yellow leaves right now.Of course our mountains on the east coast are much smaller. Be safe and keep spreading that beautiful smile.👍❤😘🇨🇦
You are one seriously capable human! (also glad that you're always available to help Mariah too) :) I'm happy you include ALL of your experiences! It's "real" not glorified like most of the others. You're an inspiration
Thank you so much for taking me, and all your viewers along for your amazing journeys, i wish i could do what you do if only for a few short trips, but im a withdrawn and introverted 57 year old guy, last two years deeply affected since losing a loved one, got a van and trying to get out there, one day...
Those are tracks off a large heavy duty construction equipment, my husband is a retired heavy equipment mechanic, in Forestry they use them often, if those broke off we think the equipment is most likely in the lake. There you go! Anna, I love your videos, keep um' comin and keep singing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your videos are so beautiful. So much skill and effort and talent. You've come so far since your first few vids where you were still learning how to tell a story. Now I'm getting emotional watching your drone shots at your summit with the violin and omg I'm gonna cry it's so beautiful. You are such a light in this world, thank you so much for sharing yourself with us 💜❤️
Anna, How are ya? That was one big Elk, he has been around for a while because had at least a 16 point royal rack. That is the best video of an Elk I have ever seen. You are fantastic at doing nature shots, every video you do is better than anyone else's. FANTASTIC.
You really knocked it out of the park with your drone shots this time. Wow, I don't know how you manage to have the energy left over after that hike to do all that and share it with us, but you are doing a terrific job!!!
Anna, there is so much i would like to write you,, but realise this is not the place to do , so i just keep it short. After your first vlog i was so overwhelming enthousiast that i need to wactch all your vlogs in 2 days. I have seen you laughing, and crying, Building and maintain, in good and sad mood, saw your monoloog ( What if i died tommorow) and so much more. I just feel the need to express my deepest respect ( and that is a understatement) for the Girl with no fear . Taking us with you on your trip and spoil us with your exceptionel professional vlogs !!!! Anna........you are by far THE BEST. Wish you many more beautifull trips and enjoying your life.
Thank you so very much for sharing this fantastic amazing adventure with us. Its my belief that the Canadian government should recognize your outstanding coverage and highlighting their beautiful country. Please keep safe 🙏.
I love the way you face the problem!! I would be so stressed out if it happened to me. I love your channel and been waching it for over a year now. Thank u for sharing your van life in Canada. (I wanna visit Canada so bad)
Lake Abraham is a Man-made lake. It is the headwaters of the Saskatchewan Rivers that branch to become the North Saskatchewan and South Saskatchewan rivers. The lake is basically a reservoir for the cities along it. Namely Edmonton and a few other smaller ones. It's controlled by a damn that changes the water level of the river downstream much to some people's dismay. I wish this oil cooler was the only problem with Penastars
Its's a track off of a bulldozer or an excavator. Create your own adventure is the best type!! The shot at 15:09 is AMAZING! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for more Canadian beautiful scenery. I’m starting to hear your Canadian accent shine through, eh. Hope the rest of your Canada trip is van maintenance free. 😎
Stunning views and your vigeography excels! Wow, the color of that lake, the rainbow, and, of course your beautiful smile made this a joy to watch. Glad your van is back to 100%. Happy travels!
I live in Alberta, love the mountains and spend as much time as I can in them. It is great to see someone discover its beauty from another country. The highway from Jasper to Lake Louise is one of my favourite drives in the world. Found you through Foresty Forest’s channel. Beautiful videos 👍
It's the track off a snow machine. Used widely in Canada by parks when the roads are closed. Another great video Anna. Love how you are showing the beauty of my country. Thanks.
Hi Anna ,on the subject of getting locked out and having an extra key. Do not trust a magnetic box to not fall off after it rusts for a few months. Try to find a nook or "cranny" to tie an extra key on the outside of your van that you can access when locked out. Think high up and out of sight. Where most people would never look. A $2 extra key is worth $100 when you need it. Like 100 miles from nowhere. Tom at the NB-NS border here on the east coast. Drive on.
Seriously you are one of the most capable humans I have ever encountered. Problematic situations are just blips on the screen. The tools in your life toolbox can take you anywhere.
Anna. TY for creating this video - the views from the summit towards the end of this video was awesome, I got a brief moment of vertigo watching the aerial short of the drone passing you overhead - Wow, just Wow
Anna, I love your enthusiasm. So glad you're enjoying our country. You're videos have a great balance of everything and make me smile every time. If you plan on staying in Canada for winter, head back to the west coast of BC. "Things just go wrong to show you how much you really have going right." Great way to approach life. Safe travels!
few days ago I made the same trip to Abraham Lake and stoped at the same spot and hiked the same trail - of course not all the way up like you. Congratulation - you made it and the view is incredible. Thanks for showing me the summit of my hike without walking all the way up. but for sure on my list after I've seen your video here. Enjoy your trip.
Watching Anna go through a really stressful (IMO) experience but still smile through it has me thinking I overreact a lot and need to be more like Anna 😅. What amazing cinematography throughout.
Ana, my niece and family live on Grouse Mountain.I hope you can go there and hike! They hike all of the time. It's right nearby...It is just stunning!!
I’ve been watching and enjoying your channel for a while, and this video contains all the reasons why…It’s your fearlessness, wisdom, empathy for other humans, independence, ability to sit with yourself (to be ok in a parking lot just reading for days)…your drive, and the self love you exhibit (your cooking)…all while being *real*. I’m a PNW’er with a van (not full time), and you inspire me.
We did a trip here from the UK with both sets of parents and our youngest two children, many many years ago - this has been a lovely trip down memory lane as 3 of the 4 folks have since passed away - what a beautiful place - why have we never been back...this must be rectified :)
Wow. Seriously, I’m in tears. Thank you for sharing this with us. Your spirit is so beautiful, you’re so inspiring, and your filmography and editing is Ahhhhmazing!
Lol thank you for all your all hard work, walking back for the camera for every trail hike shot lol 😆 it's like you hiked the same trail four times in that day 🤣 twice going up , twice going down😁 lol
What an awesome video Anna! I hope you stick around to see lake Abraham when it’s frozen! If you haven’t seen pictures of that yet, go check it out! It’s not something that you’d want to miss!
I'm watching the beginning of this and I just want to be there! It's so beautiful. One thing I absolutely love about you is your positivity and ability to just roll with it. Yes, things get frustrating but you deal with the emotion and move on. I have a friend in Cow Town that might have been able to help with the shipping...hindsight 20/20...but super glad everything worked out. Living in the PNW for some time I learned if you want to get out just throw on a rain jacket and go-the weather will not cooperate with what you want-you have to cooperate with the weather (and that breakfast hash looked AMAZING!!!). You deserve a break to rest the mind. I actually can't wait for it to start snowing here next week in Idaho. You stay safe to girl!
Hi Anna. I just discovered your channel over the weekend and have been enjoying your experiences immensely. Have a great time on your travels and be safe.
Your big metal this is a track off of a dozer... love the channel stay safe and thanks for taking us along. I will be doing Van life hopefully next March

Take care out there y’all!
Have a lovely rest, Anna!
Take care Anna and be safe enjoy Canada.
Old track off of a crawler tractor ”Caterpillar” or excavator.
That's a track for a bulldozer or similar tracked heavy equipment.
I've been enjoying the Canada journey! I'm glad I found your channel
Okay but can we all just appreciate the effort Anna placed on the cinematography of this vlog? Wowowow!
It's insane, the views were stunning & that rainbow 🌈🥰
Oh yeah, this whole video is just great!! Cinematography is fabulous.

I've replaced many of those oil coolers. They are absolute junk. Good catch. Most people don't catch that until they get a CEL.

Looks like the track off of a large machine of some kind.

I always love to see your smiling face, hear your giggle and see what you’re up to. So glad you did your very smart regular maintenance check!
A good attempt at the “eh”. Almost nailed it. A little more practice and she’ll be ready for her PR card. 🤓
Anna goes to Canada and turns into Foresty Forest. Love it; great video with great views.

I keep a big ol can of bear spray on me every time I hike 👍
..and please wear a bell. I used to live there...not hearing bells... I was nervous for you.
Similar large animal issues in USA also.
@@man3206 Hi! What is the bell for?
Don’t put the spray in your pack. No time to get it out!
It is a track from an excavator. You are an amazing videographer and so inspiring!

Anna! You’re becoming a regular Foresty Forest! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The metal centipede is the track off a buldozer or excavator (or some other heavy macinery).
Nice video
Your music variety is EVERYTHING. I wouldn't have skipped a single song I've heard. Thanks for sharing all of this with us!

The oil cooler part is made of plastic and a lot of European cars are like this. Your van actually is a Fiat with a Ram tag.

Drone shots were at Abraham Lake, not in Jasper National Park. She is okay to fly the drone there.
One of the things I love most about your videos are the sleek graphics you add to them.

Anna, Once again, you knocked it out of the park with your drone, camera work and editing! Amazing! You have a bright future my friend!
Wow Anna, the hiking footage was incredible. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your rest.
Thanks for sharing the reality of traveling with a vehicle and the importance of maintaining it…great vid well rounded!!
Thanks

Great advice about knowing your vehicle, checking levels, insurance, savings for emergencies…. :)
Holy shit! Great attitude, amazing drone shots, fabulous story telling, great food and even a rainbow. Just wow!
Great video. Haven't watched for quite some time and you seem happier. Careful with flying the drone. Many places (Jasper) its prohibited.
thanks for pointing out drone thing in parks to her
Anna. TY for creating this video - the views from the summit towards the end of this video was awesome, I got a brief moment of vertigo watching the aerial short of the drone passing you overhead - Wow, just Wow
Wow Anna, that footage was absolutely stunning!
Rode my motorcycle through that area a few years ago. Easily at the top of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been list.
Your videos are amazing!
Omg ! That waterfall at the beginning of the video is absolutely stunning !!
the idea of you throwing hands with your van engine is low key hilarious. Love it🖤
Beautiful life you have and little problems on the road is nothing to worry about. I love your personality, keep on vannin one mile at a time.
few days ago I made the same trip to Abraham Lake and stoped at the same spot and hiked the same trail - of course not all the way up like you. Congratulation - you made it and the view is incredible. Thanks for showing me the summit of my hike without walking all the way up. but for sure on my list after I've seen your video here. Enjoy your trip.
Wow that's one hell of a hike. Congrats. I got anxiety watching you way up there LOL. Have fun.
Awesome video! Thank you for making this video. I'm getting to see such beautiful sights.
Glad the van got fixed! Hopefully that amazing scenary made everything better! 😝 Thanks for showing us these amazing places!
Well, this was just STUNNING! I really enjoyed the cinematography in this vlog. Love your videos! Looking forward to the next adventure...🧭
I’m living vicariously through you. So keep making videos, please. 😊 I look forward to them. Stay safe, Anna.
Don't ever stop Anna__ You are a constant and looked forward to breath of fresh air every week!!
We did a trip here from the UK with both sets of parents and our youngest two children, many many years ago - this has been a lovely trip down memory lane as 3 of the 4 folks have since passed away - what a beautiful place - why have we never been back...this must be rectified :)
Thank you Anna.
I look forward to each episode.
Hi Anna, I just ran into your channel and I’m already looking forward to your videos. The scenery looks Amazing! Safe travels 😊
I am loving this hiking series. ❤️
I love the vehicle , have had 2 myself , but trips like that alone take a lot of courage , I am impressed . Love to see more of the videos
Good advice. A good basic understanding of your vehicle is a must for long distance traveling.
Really love your story telling, adventures, filming and editing. Incredible views! Adding that to the list.
Haven't read the SGU's book, but I do love their podcast. I try to make it part of my week. 👍
Your big metal this is a track off of a dozer... love the channel stay safe and thanks for taking us along. I will be doing Van life hopefully next March
Your opening statement to this video - wow does it have so much truth!
