I have a question - okay actually several questions - about that because I don't know about this stuff: does every sorority have its own sign? And are only members allowed to mime the sign? How does it all work? What's the point of sororities anyway? Are they similar to university societies?
@@dizzylbnt yes each one does, i’m a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, only members of the specific sorority can throw up that specific sign. The purpose of NPHC which houses the black sororities and fraternities also known as the Divine 9, is to establish sisterhood/brotherhood, community service in our communities, and networking opportunities. The Divine 9’s goal is to empower and uplift black communities.

Adrienne ain't ever went to college and Tam went to a Christian University and she's black but clearly has no idea about the D9 lol. Now if a person is throwing up a sign trying to perpetrate being a member etc than that is different, but here in this instance they were not. Pulling them to the side after the show explaining to not do that would be much more classy. You could tell they genuinely didn't know.
