    Thanks for having Travis as a guest Drew! I know you wanted to bring it back to the "basics" for the POD beginner. You looked like I would be listening to a lecture on the "History of Math". Yet this video was GOLD! So many things I learned from Travis talking. It felt like that one person you didn't know you needed to hear at one of those $10K Mastermind Weekends on the Island of Maui.🔥

    Great information, Thanks Drew for having Travis on. I will have to listen again to figure out all that he puts into his spreadsheet with links, images, etc. Years ago I had a bean bag store on Amazon with the CSV upload and at times it could be a real PITA. Is Travis using CSV files or xls files to store his designs? I'd love to have him talk more about the spreadsheet design and his SOPs for efficient running.

    • @Kittldesign

      Great question! Travis should see this and respond within a few days or so!

    • @PrintOnDemandCast
      @PrintOnDemandCast Год назад

      I typically use XLS files for everything. That said, google sheets would also do the trick. Amazon will accept XLS or CSV as an upload file so you could create everything you need in Sheets and then download a CSV when you're ready to upload.

    I've been doing POD since 2017. Went fulltime 2.5 years ago and made a decent income so far. I had an Etsy shop but closed it. I couldn't stand doing the customer service aspect especially when your fulfillment company constantly screws up on customer's orders. I wanted my time to focus more on my designs and marketing. I was thinking about doing automation but I've seen other PODers that do it and the placement always seem wonky. I have to say Kittl maybe the best when it comes to design quality and efficiency.

    Travis how do you deal with returns on walmart since everything is printed to order? Isnt that a loss since someone can just say it doesnt fit etc?

    • @PrintOnDemandCast
      @PrintOnDemandCast Год назад +2

      Yes, that's true with pretty much any "seller of record" type of platform (Etsy, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, etc.) That said, it's a relatively low percentage of your sales. Size charts and other disclaimers (colors may look different due to monitor settings, etc) can help with returns, as well.

  • @P-Funk69
    @P-Funk69 Год назад +1

    another question, do you use the same SEO titles etc for all platforms? BC each platform seems different the way it deals with titles etc, so id think youd have to adjust your data before putting up on other platforms.

    • @PrintOnDemandCast
      @PrintOnDemandCast Год назад +2

      We do, but only for ease of orgaization. Our designs have a basic title that don't include product data. Then we add the product data (11oz coffee mug, T-shirt XL Blue, 12oz enamel camping mug, etc) when we create the listing spreadsheet. Makes it so much easier when uploading 100's or even 1000's of new products.

    Hi Travis, in what way is seller centraL different to Amazon Merch? Just started Merch recently, can you go straight onto this or is it a progressive thing?

    • @Kittldesign
      @Kittldesign  Год назад

      Hey there! We can actually answer this one and Travis can also comment. Merch by Amazon is a completely fulfilled system similar to Redbubble. Essentially, all you do is upload your design, and Amazon will do all of the work by putting the design on a variety of products, and when an order comes in, Amazon is completely handling everything. Amazon Seller Central is where you are the official seller of record, and you have a dedicated shop within Amazon, so you could sell anything, shoes, shirts, bracelets, etc, and you can integrate a print on demand platform to sell there.

    • @PrintOnDemandCast
      @PrintOnDemandCast Год назад

      Yep, Drew nailed it. The other thing to consider is that you can sell nearly anything with an Amazon Seller Central account. So if you're in a specific niche and want to add other physical products, you can do that. There is a $40/mo cost to having a store so my suggestion would be to have many products ready to upload before you create your account.

  • @P-Funk69
    @P-Funk69 Год назад +2

    Good idea also to download a CSV backup of your Etsy shop regularly every time you make an update ....

  • @P-Funk69
    @P-Funk69 Год назад +1

    this is an interesting approach, i have now implemented a spreadsheet system but its not automated like Travis is suggesting. Im just cutting and pasting from it to stay organized, and be able to easily copy data. i had to put things in a spreadsheet bc it was getting so confusing when id then take those designs and put them on teepublic & RP. Id like to do a more automated system like hes suggesting, but I am basically doing my first pass on Etsy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this system would really only work if you first uploaded to a platform where you can upload a CSV, etc , and then later list to Etsy, and use the technique of template listing first, then integrate when sold on printify etc later. Is that correct? Im def going to follow this guy bc he has great ideas.

    • @Kittldesign
      @Kittldesign  Год назад

      This is correct! Travis is using a third-party system that helps utilize this spreadsheet file across multiple print on demand store fronts.

    is it worth having a ESTY store and an e-commerce store at the same time?

    • @Kittldesign
      @Kittldesign  Год назад +1

      It can be! This depends on how much effort you are willing to put into each. With Etsy, you have audience already available to you, with a personal e-commerce store, you have to drive traffic yourself.

    So… for those of us just starting to dabble, there really isn’t a way to bulk upload, just doing the whole process for multiple listings at the same time, or did I miss something?

    • @Kittldesign
      @Kittldesign  Год назад +1

      Correct, this is in part due to a platforms inability to bulk upload (for example, Etsy-which wants you to upload one at a time), which is why Travis utilizes a third-party system that integrates with his PODs and pushes the products to them directly. However, you can easily copy or duplicate templates in Printful and Printify, and in Printful now, you can attach the same design to a variety of products quickly. Then you can push them to Etsy for example, format them in the backend, and set them all live at the same time. Perhaps we'll do a video on this soon.

    Hi, great content and video! We need your help, please? I have a new business and would like to scale up.... right now, just 250+ products listed on Etsy, Amazon Merch + Amazon Handmade and RedBubble. I feel like we need help and am planning to get a VA from the Philippines to help out with listings and SEO. What kind of software do you recommend, so we don't have to give direct access to our stores? I'm open to any suggestions.... thanks in advance!

      Sorry, but before I can give a recommendation, what exactly do you want the software to do? I guess I'm kinda confused by your statement, "so we don't have to give direct access to our stores."
