The Schmidt and Jesewitz sisters were born to play Volleyball.
Although Wayzata is my favorite, I expected Champlin Park to offer more opposition. By the way, last night I was able to watch the live broadcast courtesy of CCX Media, great job! Thank you so much!

I used to coach, and just finished playing in a big tournament. The level of play here, and the size and athletic ability of the girls is very high. Excellent performance by both teams. It makes me want to coach again...
I’m going to miss Ellie Schmidt. First Emma, and now her. Also, when will the state tournament start?

Intersting. But still dont get it. 1A 2A 3A 4A 5AAAA or 5AAA What does this mean?
The A's are what class you are in which goes by how big your school is. In volleyball there are four classes. A (smallest), AA, AAA, and AAAA (the biggest) In each class there are 8 sections which means 8 teams in every class go to state. so the first number is the section, the A's are what class. for example Marshall is 3AAA, they are in section 3, class AAA (also known as triple A)

This new CP team has the potential to be better tbh. Wayzata was just that much more experienced and CP couldn’t handle the pressure this time.
Champlin Park usually has much more potential. They’re an amazing and competitive team, but Wayzata just did not go easy on them.

Also, Champlin Park should have refused the medals and demanded a full independent review of the match. They were ripped off big time and these "officials" should not have gotten away with it.

Wayzata is clearly stronger than Champlin Park, and their uniforms are prettier. I watched this match live at night. I wanted a real fight, and Wayzata won this match with an easy one.
I was expecting the game to go to a set 4 or 5 tbh. CP just struggled that one game.

Still saying... still don't like this rally point. I like the old-school system of earn the serve and then only in the offense starting position can you earn a point. Rally point makes for a shy server. I used to power jump serve, like a self spike, a high toss and a running jump well into the court and firing away. But if I had to risk a point by faulting, then I would have not served the heaters in my playing days.
I agree that the old-school system sounds more interesting. However, from what I've seen at the national level risk of serve errors doesn't make the servers shy, they gladly risk an error with an aggressive serve.

I have never seen such lousy and lopsided officiating in any high school sport as I have in this match. These people couldn't officiate an honest match if they had to. These "officials" ripped Chmplin Park off for at least 20 points in this match and they all should have been fired on the spot for lousy officiating, if that's what you want to call it, in this match. It's just plain sickening.
