You talked about the air-cleaners, 13 inch vs. 15 inch. Honestly, although the 15 inch do have their benefits, regardless, outboards (as I call outside mounted air-cleaners) make a truck far better looking. A T800 with outboard air-cleaners, and 7 ribbed grille, look like a real working truck.
The older series Kenworths still have a large demand..Too bad the new generation didn't keep the classic looks ànd design. Wish they would ha e done a design using the Australia Kenworth design as the new platform with a larger cab.
What is that light assembly mounted @ top of mirrors😎❓ forward facing load lights ❓ There is a narrow floor mount refrigerator available for this sleeper ❓ Like the defrost fan from yesteryear 👌👏😷
They are rear facing load lights, customers will put "moose lights" up there and turn them around. No factory fridge option for a fridge on a 62" Bill.
I still don't understand Andy why you put lighter springs with the 20,000 lb axle. Doesn't this defeat the purpose? You are not getting the weight rating then no? Is it just for ride? So many questions. LOL.
T880's suck. Got clipped by someone in a parking lot. Because the 'aerodynamic' lenses come so far out to the edge of the fender, the directional lens was broken. If it was the 1980's T800, there would've been some fender damage but the lenses are further away from the fender's edge. I think the damage would've been far less. I think the lens replacement was +$90 plus fender repair. If it was the 1980's T800 style, just fender repair. And don't fool yourself, no matter the damage, the insurance company has a long memory how much the claim was. Aerodynamics has it's own price.
Nice thing about it is there are a lot of aftermarket options for the sealed beams, not so much for the T880 or W990. It would be nice if they offered some led replacements from the factory though.
@@604h22a the engine and running gear is all the same the only difference is the cab current T800 was designed in 2006 the T880 is a lot newer and more comfortable IMO
Keeping the T800 alive and well! Sharp looking truck for sure!
For sure
Love this truck

Totally agreed!
Awesome build! Congratulations SBC!
Can't go wrong with the Legendary Blue!

That truck looks like a beast!
I see their a tow truck in the background
Sure is

Brother congratulations 32k
Nice job 👍
Hi Andy, great vid of the t800. What make are the 385/65R22.5 steer tires?
Michelin I believe
Love the color!
Me too!
I want to order a truck exactly like this for operation in the US. Can you guide me in the rite direction please
Here in NYC were being told KW is not producing the T800 anymore. Any truth to this?
Where can we buy Kenworth flannels at?
Would this be considered a Michigan special spec?
I’m interested in buying a standard 800 Heavy Haul truck day cab.

Little late but I would guess it’s for better ride. We have a T800 with the 20,000lb front and it’s pretty tall and miserable to ride in.
What’s the gear ratio?
✅ I’ll see you over the next one.
Looking forward to it
if I only had the 💰
No should have gone 15” breathers and 605 HP
cost splendor Vs VIT 800 Vs 880.?
$3500
Can’t believe kw still uses those 1980’s headlights in 2021

Have you been selling more T800s than T880s?
Nope, the T880 is much more popular in my area. However in the Logging world mostly T800 or W900
@@AndyTheKenworthGuy main differences between the t800 & 880?
@@604h22a W900 and T800 both use the narrower B model cab that debuted in 1983, more pretty classic styling but less room inside than the T880/W990.
