I never realized before that so much time had passed between chapter one and two! Did you? Comment something you learned from this Esther 2 Bible study!
Learning that all those young ladies took turns going in to romance with the king and how Esther’s time the King was worth the wait. Though man may go through many of women; there will be a chosen woman some day. Also that that practice is the way of the world and as God’s people we need to do things God’s way.
You did so good, thank you glory to God. Also I felt so bad for the 399 other women for losing their virginities' only to remain widows. Also I felt a little relieved to learn that the King did miss Vashti I would have never guessed that. Also I learned that 4years had passed since the dethroning of Vashti, I also thought it just flowed. May Jesus honor and remember you for this in Jesus name.
Love your page so helpful currently in my bed with my hot water bottle and some water with my journal Bible feeling like I’m being taught by my cool smart big sister who loves God. Love all the way from London 🇬🇧. This series is amazing 🤍🤍 God Bless you and your Channel Queen🤍✨.
I really enjoyed Ester Chapter 2. Chapter 1 gave me a great understanding of the story of Ester. The take away for me from chapter 2 was Ester’s obedience and trust. Something to strive to achieve in my relationship with God.
Love this theme of God’s purpose and plan being there even though he isn’t mentioned by name. I think sometimes we’re calling out to God for sure signs and miracles forgetting that sometimes he works in the background! Something I’m clinging to in my current season. Thank you for all the work you do 🧡
I had always wondered what happened to the unchosen women because I figured, in that time, that no one would want them since they were not a virgin. There is so much going on under the story that you miss if you just read through it. Thank you for slowing me down and helping me to understand the subtext so to speak.
Great timbits Kaci. Breaking it down and going through it so thoroughly really shines light on so many areas that were easily overlooked. I didn't realize how the remainder 399 woman gave up their lives. After the evening with the king they would have to live as a widow and a single lady. I also didn't realize the amount of time that has passed. That is a good point in that the king is not jumping into a new queen to be crowned. So many other bits of overlooked information! God is always with us and working for our better good. This series reignites my thought processes when speaking to God and I try to remember that I don't know the whole picture. Thank you for your bible studies. They are wonderful and easy to follow along with.
I loved the concept of favour that came out of this chapter. As God is not mentioned, we can see His hand in the unexplainable favour that Esther finds wherever she goes. A reminder to me, that God reassures and confirms situations true the presence of Favour that cannot find a clear/evident explanation. Thank you Kaci! :)
I have been praying to the Lord for a thorough, and good bible study. I didn't care by who, as long as teaching is biblical and could capture my attention to carry on. Thank you for being obedient. Your content and organization is spot on! God bless you.
Thanks for this study. It has served as a blessing. The conclusion was really impactful; “Laying up treasures in heaven, where there is no destruction or stealing”. Praying that my heart is always channeled in the right direction- heaven postured.
It's very interesting with the four-year difference & being able to research histortorical context outside of scripture to learn more about the king. Thank you for your bible studies💛 Esp. For including cultural context!
This is week 2 on your Esther bible teachings and in 2 teachings I’ve learned so much ❤ Thank you for bringing us such lovely teachings and lots of knowledgeable insight. Can’t wait to next week. God bless you x
I definitely never knew about all of this drama that happened with King Xerxes after the battle of Thermopylae! It's very cool when the Bible and history collide like this.
My takeaways: Obedience Silence - Esther didn't tell anyone who she was. If she blew her cover, that would have been the end God's favour God's using normal circumstances to do great things - Esther's beauty, Mordecai's job
Hello watching in 2022, do you think he really slept with 400 women or maybe half of that and what time frame that would have taken since they prepared for 12 months
So I have a different perspective I just want to point out. When you talk about the immoral ambiguity, I struggle to see how really any of these young girls had a choice. They were young, In research I've looked at, it's assumed Esther was between 14-16 years of age at the time she was brought with all the young girls to the king. And in her early 20's at the time she saved her people. These young girls were taken from their families, I'm sure many of them were scared. I don't think it's fair to assume she is considered a part of this immoral ambiguity. It sounds like sex trafficking. I realize she chose to be obedient and clearly God was using her situation to bring freedom to her people. But I don't think she would have made that choice. The young girls who were not chosen queen, were defiled and then made to spend the rest of their lives in the harem without the hope of a loving marriage or family. It's honestly quite sad. Anyway, that's just my take on it. This is a great Bible study, I'm enjoying it.
This is a story I don't like. The thought that a virgin Jewish girl, who according to God's law, should be only with her husband AFTER the marriage is sent to be a pegan king's hore is distasteful, horrifying and extremely sad..

I have never realized that the women had to stay there for the rest of their lives and be widows. That is so crazy!! Love these btw :)
i loved the part where u said that we may not receive immediate validation like Mordecai but the story is not yet done. Very hopeful.

Glad to have found this. My church is doing a Bible study about Esther next week, but I wanted to go with some knowledge about Esther.

I was surprised to learn of the women who lived in the haram and no longer able to, in today’s term, have a life of their own.
Did Mordecai have a Jewish name? I might have missed that.
Esther is made queeen in place of Queen Vashtai so did Esther have any background of royalty?
Remember Calvin told and Grandma Grandpa didn't know what to do
