- Eclipse, a black Labrador retriever, loves going to the dog park with her human, Jeff. They usually take the city bus together, but one day Eclipse got impatient and decided to hop on by herself. After panicking a moment, Jeff figured out where she was going and followed suit. Five stops later, there was Eclipse happily playing in the dog park; her favorite place in the entire world. Eclipse has become a fixture on that bus route in Seattle and has her very own bus pass too. Now, if only she could learn to take the bus back home…

Eclipse actually has a bus pass around her collar and uses it a few times a week on her own. She understands direction, reasoning, and purpose. I'm impressed! That dog deserves a social security number and a job.

@Maggie Szpanelewska Actually, she already has a job and is getting a paycheck. She was in a commercial. Every time that commercial is aired or advertised, she gets a commission check.
Then she does have her own form of ID with here dog tags and her very own bus pass.
So technically, she's as legal as any dog can get that really does have a job.

I hear ya, although i believe she already has a job: looking adorable. If i saw her on a bus, she would instantly make my day and bring a smile to my face. Instant therapy! Dogs are miraculous that way. ; - )

Update, sadly, Eclipse died this Friday, October 14th, 2022 of a cancerous tumor. She died in her sleep. RIP good dog.
Love her, but I would be so afraid someone would snatch her cause she is so friendly.

It appears to demonstrate his sense of the neighborhood..rather encouraging knowing that they would be looking out for eclipses welfare..or at least busfare.

once my dog escaped from my house in the mornimg. he returned the same night, ate, slept and i saw him the very next morning. witnesses claimed he went as far as a few kms outside the town. he was a labrador and he died 2 years ago. i cried

My father’s dog a beagle when he is about to cross the street he waits for my father to tell him to cross the street if he is far away and barks at him when he wants to go outside. The best thing is that my father didn’t train him to do that, he just learned it by himself.

A normal dog doesn't do anything for you or society except for demanding food and attention and then it dies. That's it
@Handsome Squidward However, unlike dogs kids who have not been "trained" can still turn out perfectly fine because they have human intellect while puppies have to be trained otherwise they will be wild beasts who attack humans and other animals. There are also many dogs who have been trained and still attack others or have bad behavior. You are comparing little kids to grown trained dogs and don't realize how stupid it is. It's a fact that the world needs kids more than it needs dogs since dogs can't help to develop and improve society. Kids will forever be more useful to the world than dogs

One thing that mesmerizes me is the strong bond between Eclipse and Jeff. Extraordinary friendships are unlimited. It reminds me of the street cat Bob and his human best friend, Bowen. Such a beautiful friendship.

I love this so much. She is an inspiration and so is the owner Jeff. To take her to the park on a regular basis and she learns so quick. Later on in life too. Not like since a pup. So cute.
she is a gentle kind creature...happy she meet her buddy of equal nature.

There were some comments about her safety and her friendliness risking her to get snatched up.... however something tells me she's also trained in defense not to let it happen; there's many friendly dogs trained to jump into defense mode if someone attempts to snatch them, they will just know the difference, the sweat glands in us can give off a scent of danger, through this dogs can smell fear, danger etc not even having to be right up close..... also they are very smart to make a TV/RUclips special about her making her well known and quickly recognized....in addition she now have many people looking out for her👍🏼 she is indeed precious and very smart, I wanna hug her myself!.... I just love my doggy friends!💖

@@The_castaway_Redd - Dogs get free rides on buses all the time. But they are usually accompanied by an adult. When they are unaccompanied bus drivers will pick them up and not charge because they are lost. Eclipse isn't lost, and she isn't accompanied, so she's got a ticket to pay her way.
@TFFC Mikkebak - Now she does, after that commercial. But I understand that after the first couple times she got on the bus by herself he bought her a bus pass. The fact that her owner, the bus drivers and the passengers were fine with her solo bus trips is what got her the commercial gig, and free rides. Stay healthy, all you dog lovers!

She's basically a natural born guide dog, casually doing what people spend thousands training other dogs to do.
As much as she walks around town, she’s still a bit tubby.... folks must give her food quite often. Sweet pup
