A nice breath of fresh air in all the doom and gloom that tends to pervade everywhere else lol until Skynet IRL becomes self-aware, I think we'll be alright. There's a lot of misconception out there that completely misses the mark on AI being a TOOL (at least in its current form) and I think you addressed that effectively.
Really liked the quick tidbit on Positioning/business skills! Would love to know more on this and HOW to niche down (assuming it's just very very very clearly defining your ideal client). LOVED, "Our goal is not to get /every/ client but the *RIGHT* clients." 🙌
I'm sure you're busy enough as it is, but as a n00b embarking in the audio world, I'd love to put a +1 to expanding more on 06:40's point to the good reasons why its near impossible to find entry-level work. Really don't want this adventure to be over before it begins, ya feel me! lol

Ai is scary but really i dont think it can really replace human creativity. but yeah it's still very worrying. also it's interesting to wonder if AI will make us lazy when it comes to coming up with designs, great video.

Great video, Akash! These have been my exact thoughts about AI in general, you just expanded it better! 🙂
As a separate topic, would love to know your side on the late Dolby Atmos hype taking the music industry by surprise since the apple music thing, do you think it´s gonna be big thing in the gaming industry as well, have you experience indie teams with bigger budgets going forward or looking to dwelve further into it?
    Thanks! ✌

Amazing video, I just love the way you explain and present your points, ideas and arguments. Keep it up, you're a real helper to the sound design community!
EDIT/ADD: I do enjoy the idea that AI is becoming a greatly helpful tool, (though I still hope it'll never fully replace us sound designers, voice actors, musicians, or writers/creators overall), but I also like the fact that sometimes it just feels more right to work with humans than use fully-automated tools.
As a helper/tool, it's fine, but I'd always rather work with human voice actors, musicians, etc. than fully rely on robot replicating human voices and arts.

AI will change and get better but as you said we have to learn how to use it for our advantage. For now it can generate ideas or awful generic music which more and more are uploaded on streaming services. IBM Watson AI Beat even 6 years ago have shown good results but in my opinion AI will not subsititute real musicians and theirs honest emotions on a next few years. Altough that's possible in longterm so our work as a musicians, composers and sounddesigners is to educate people around us and show them that true sound is coming from true emotions and a heart put on the whole composition. Devs and listeners don't want to play generic and mediocre sounds and we have to convince them about it.
Great vid, calming one for a lot of our colleagues.
    Skynet will fall, eventually 😉

The personal art commission market has already been destroyed by AI art. AI tools, such as Adobe Firefly, that are trained on legally owned data will begin to be used in business for commercial projects as well. In any case, these advancements increase companies' budget needs because people will expect more, just as in game development throughout the ages. Meanwhile personal and indie projects become more affordable.
Well, I abandoned the mindset of relying on companies for work many years ago; it is impractical in today's economy. So anything that increases my ability to create my own projects and products is a good thing.

I think even if the tools CAN make anything with almost no human input, people are going to always want their art (and food to an extent) made by humans. and if thats not the case.. there are bigger problems than your sound design job haha.

AI music is awful. Just awful. Sounds so generic and doesn't really inspire any human feelings. Maybe that might change over time but as of now, I'm not concerned (I have a musician that I work with and I wouldn't replace them with AI). I also got AI to write some code and it was so bad. Didn't work, caused more work in de-bugging than if I just wrote it from scratch myself. Chat GPT is a language model and that's what it's best used for. AI can't listen to the music it creates & it can't test the code it writes. It just writes code in small blocks with no architecture for how it all fits together. The problem with using AI for art is that it is wildly inconsistent and you need that consistency especially in games. AI does have potential but at the moment it's ok for specific uses like removing a background from a scene etc. The legal issues with AI right now makes it pretty much not safe to use (I'm not a lawyer and this is not legal advice but things don't look like they have not been solved on that front yet).
Great video by the way! 🤣.
