    👀 That looks like a fab design Ape. I didnt know there was a game mechanic where the piglets try to get to the sow. Nice tutorial!

    • @TheOddApe
      @TheOddApe  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you Gran!
      The piglets run to the sows and the sows run to the boars. Sometimes you see the sows randomly sprint towards the boars because of this mechanic.

      @@TheOddApe Ahhh yes I saw that mechanic when I was getting my pigs across the lake, I gave the boars a little smack and they ran after me, and the sow ran after the boar. Nice to know there is one for the piglets too. 😁

      The females following males works for the sheep as well. Geez ape this is great. I always wanted to separate the different gen animals but had no idea other than culling them.

    This is a great design, much better than my method of separated sunken pits and me running around like a fool!

    This is a revisited design to separate the piglets by letting them fall through the floor!
    If you have some suggestions write it in the comments. I'll be glad to discuss it with you!
    Enjoy 😃

      I need to test that... I have just my first generation, and it's already painfull to sort that out...

    Amazing design! Though I'll probably stick to standing on the fence, and therefore separating the fleeing piglets from the adults that try to attack me by placing fences behind the adults.
    However, I'll definitely make use of hoppers being able to fill troughs, which I didn't know/think of till about 4 minutes ago.

    • @TheOddApe
      @TheOddApe  3 месяца назад

      Thanks! I'm glad that you like the design. The hopper for feeding animals is pretty useful, especially when you have a number of animals to feed and you don't want to place and fill a dozen of throughs.

    I just put a fence gate with a separate small area. I enter the pen and all the piglets flee to the door.
    With just a minor bit of herding, they all in, close door, ey presto, bobs yer uncle.
    Edit: Didn't know about the gen 10 thing. Meh, lots of time before that many generations.

    • @TheOddApe
      @TheOddApe  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hello Klomster! In a single player world I usually do the same as you do.
      My solution is useful in situations where the piglets do not flee from the player: one is when the piglets reach level 10; the second scenario is when playing on servers and most of the time the piglets grow up before the player is even online. It happens all the time.

      Yes. I'll post a video with a fix for the pigs (sometimes adults fall through the floor 😞), for the sheep and for the chicken. The design in this video works fine with sheep so I think you could try it
