It's honestly a beautiful studio, and you decorated it very tastefully. I especially loved the addition of curtains, the beautiful lamps beside the TV, and the black countertop in the bathroom.
Welcome back I didn't know you upload last week, I was telling my Wify I haven't seen you on YT for a while at one point I was worried..seriously! glad you fine. Please don't ghost us like that again but the most important thing you are ok
Wow your studio is at at quite nice and affordable! I'm envious that it was built in 1980s, that's considered quite new where I am in New York City! Many many homes here were built before WWII. My apartment building was built in 1925. A studio apartment is at least $1500 here. The prices are outrageous!
Nice and precise information . please how do i get an apartment in downtown ? what are the process and requiements for someone moving from quebec to edmonton . do i need an agent ?
I love your apartment 😊,this is exactly what I will need when my I get to Canada... Please I have some questions for you . Would this down town Edmonton, Alberta be a good choice of environment for a teacher (new immigrant)? If yes, do you think, teachers are paid well there? I have been in love with this particular town and I wish to migrate soon. Final question, can you make a video about teaching profession in Alberta (Edmonton to be precise)?
NICE PLACE .LOVE THE AREA IT IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING DOWNTOWN PLUS THE RIVER VALLEY .I USE TO LIVE IN THE AREA FOR YEARS BEFORE MOVING EAST VERY GOOD INFO .TAKE CARE UNTIL NEXT TIME.
Thanks for sharing this with us Aby. You should consider buying an apartment before mortgage rates start going up. As I am sure you are aware, mortgage rates are at a record low at the moment in Canada. Currently, you can get a 5-year fixed at a rate of about 2.5%. These rates won't stay low for long. Plus the pandemic situation offers the ability for you to negotiate hard on property prices. You can still hold on to the property as an investment (and collect rent) even after you move to your husband's house (very soon in Jesus' name!) 😁
Amen to the husband part 😉. So I thought about buying and a good friend actually got a fixed rate of 1.69% a few months ago ~ incredible.. but, I decided against that because I’m in the midst of a transition and I am not sure having a house in Edmonton helps my transition plans. But... you make a very good point.
The noise mostly comes from the street. Sometimes crazy people, drunks and police/fire truck sirens. Downtown is really noisy. On occasion, I might hear a faint sound from the neighbours but that has never been an issue for me.
Thats all you need, I also stay in a studio apartment, Not that I can't afford 1 or 2 bedroom. I dont want a big house I prefer to see everything in my place. Its wired am scared at night especially when a house have many rooms.
Hello loving your videos I’m moving to canada too . Is it possible to make an honest opinion about get African hair done . What to expect. Your hair is always looking good 👍🏽 . Please please 🙏🏽 i hv failed to any video talking about that. Im currently in Uganda . And im moving next month. Kindly consider this suggestion
Good decision Aby. Living simple life is a good way of having a lot of savings in Western countries and not getting into trouble. I have seen a lot of Africans live very big and compete,...and they get into financial mess. I wonder why you are not interested in getting a small mortgage since you can afford it. The house later become yours over a number of years and you are not helping someone pay his mortgage. Although taking mortgage will sap your savings with council rates, water bills, home and content insurances, mortgage insurances, other maintenance costs etc. It is a good decision though depending on your future plan. Best of luck.
Hello Aby, good day, my name is James, a Pharmacist from Benin City, currently based in Abuja Nigeria. My plan for relocation to Canada is currently at an advance stage. I will love to discuss with you outside this platform if you will permit me. Kindly give it a thought.
The advice in between is golden. Always go for what you can afford so you ain't in debt at the end of the day. Nice apartment 😁

Nice place! How diverse is it there? My mom lived in Edmonton for like a year in the late 60s and said there were no other Black people.
It changed A LOT from the 60s to now. Your mom would not recognize the city if she came back today
