On "My Car Story" we're in the Suburbs of Phoenix, AZ on 1-25-24.
We're looking at a 1909 Edward Ballot Delage in Red Paint. The car comes with the 2 Litre inline 4-cylinder engine and has a 4 speed manual transmission.
The car's Owner is Alan Travis. Alan’s had this car since 2004. Alan shares this is a race car back in 1909 and the people who wanted this car had to have the money for this “Gentleman’s Sports Car” which was $4,000.00 or about 8 times the price of the average house of the day. Probably helped to be a thrill seekers too.
    ENJOY!

This is a wonderful piece of art and history. If Jay Leno does not have one of these I know he wants one! It is indeed a wonderful thing that this automobile has been preserved.

I’m glad that you kept the walk of shame in the edit.
Cars then were much more temperamental towards dirt, air mixtures and the rest than modern cars are. Thanks for the reminder.

This “series” with Allan’s collection has been quite informative and educational.
This one, like the others, is in spectacular condition and Allan’s knowledge level is amazing.
