You need to be intentional about creating an avenue for your spouse to become handy there. Self sufficiency is not always the best in a relationship. Intimacy and relationships thrives on dependency. So sometimes leave something out and pretend you dont know how to do it. When my husband is around, I can’t even use the Uber app!😂 he does it all. May sound lame but it’s an aspect of femininity to embrace that most women don’t know. So they all form strong!

I had this challenge with my hubby but as we grew in marriage, I started to ask for help around the house. Now it’s even a shared responsibility that we both enjoy doing together. Communication and consideration helps a lot.
Communication is a serious component of relationships. When communication is done wrongly continuously, a relationship starts losing it's shelf life. When communication is done rightly, a relationship grows stronger and better.
Too many conflicts in marriage are completely unnecessary. The issues should never have come up in the first instance. But somehow these conflict happen a thundered times over and over again following exactly or very similar pattern, so much that it is possible to predict 100% accurately how the conversations in the conflict would proceed and how it would end. God save us from conflicts and negative issues. There is more, same is true for positive conversations.
The woman was created by God to serve as a help mate for the man. Furthermore, she is to respect and adore the husband as the head of the family. In essence, the wife is created to be a suitable helper and companion to the husband, and she is called to respect and submit to his leadership. Meanwhile, It is expected that the husband also references the wife, loves, cares, and provides her needs. Husband's shouldn't "assist" their wives, its the responsibility of the man and the woman to do house chores together, changing babies' diaper, doing the dishes, washing the toilet, etc. They both own the house, rented or paid for. Some conflicts are really not necessary. There is men and leaving shoes everywhere, if you just put them in the right place you wont die than to start yelling at him why he left shoes at an "inappropriate" place. When a man is living alone he cleans and takes care of his home but the moment there's a lady in the house they relax and do nothing around the house like they have a slave . Why does he need to be asked to clean his home where he lives ?. It's his house too and a reasonable man would not wait to be asked . If he doesn't like doing domestic he can hire a cleaner once or twice a week . Your wife is not a slave .
