Absolutely epic sir! It’s really nice to have a series of detailed Smith’s song tutorials. Your taste for the song is also great. It’s such a lovely thing to do to watch your channel and play guitars in weekend afternoons. Just bring more songs to us, it’s Beautiful! And maybe it will be nicer if a tab could be attached to the video. Anyway, thank you so much sir!
Amazing thanks so much! It makes it worthwhile to hear a great comment like yours and to get an insight into a viewer working through the songs on weekend afternoons. I have quite a basic set up to film and produce my videos at home but over time if I can grow and expand I am always looking for ways to make improvements and I may get to the point where I have the capably to add Tab. Thanks so much for supporting my channel. 👍🤓🎸🙏
Thanks @Wearethewingmakers, I’ve had it for years, bought one originally from small independent shop and it had a bent neck. The owner didn’t have another but said he was going to London to the distributor Rossetti and they were really good, let me go down with him and swap it / pick a new one. I’ve done a few mods on it recently with the Bigsby and upgraded pickups and wiring harness / pots. Thanks so much for your kind comments and supporting my channel. More Smiths this week! 👍🤓🎸🙏
@@GuitarGary. yeah its really nice with a story behind it. ❤️ thanks very much for your reply Gary its always nice to hear back. Awesome stuff, looking forward to it. keep them coming ⭐️👍🏻
New subscriber here. Great channel; you have immaculate taste sir. Your lessons are less like some guy telling you what to play and more like a mate coming round for a cup of tea with his guitar and showing you a song you love and never learned to play yet. Perfect. Keep the songs coming!! :-)
@@GuitarGary. See from the other videos that you're getting quite a few suggestions. I'll join in on those in due course. And if you're ever in Edinburgh I'll stick the kettle on🤣😎🎸
Great detailed lesson - thank you! Any chance of some lessons on Marr’s solo work? There’s no lessons on RUclips for his recent release Somewhere! Cheers.
Thanks @garyrobinson3967 🙏🤓🎸. I will see what I can do, if it’s not a song I know then I like to take a bit of time to make sure I’m happy with it so I’ll have a look and see if I can work out what’s going on first. Thanks for supporting my channel and for the song suggestion.
@garyrobinson3967, your wish will be granted! Recording Somewhere next so will be on within week. Happy new year and thanks again for this great request 🙏🤓🎸
Thanks Leo I’ve got more expensive guitars but get more comments about that than any. Have a look at my latest Some girls are bigger than others and also Lloyd Cole Perfect Skin, it’s in those too. I did a few bits of work on it to modify it and am happy to share if you ever want. 👍🤓🎸😉
@leobender2910 there’s a nice story behind mine, I bought one new from a small guitar shop in Manchester and it turned out to be faulty. The shop owner couldn’t replace it but offered to take me to London as he had a meeting with the distributor Rossetti. They were great, let me unpack and hand pick my own replacement then took me for lunch, gave me a load of goodies and said they hoped one day I’d buy a Gibson which I did years later when I could afford one. 🤓❤️
@@GuitarGary. Wow, that is a nice story, indeed. They went out of their way to meet your needs. Things like that make memories we fondly look back at. In my experience, buying from local music stores has always been as exciting as grocery shopping. But I feel happy reading your story! It reminds me of the story told by Noel Gallagher about how he went guitar shopping with Johnny Marr, for some reason
Hiya yes it is. Had it from new and last year gave it an upgrade. I don’t normally like modifications but I’m glad I did. The bridge tailpiece is shorter than normal on these guitars and always looked wrong to me, adding the Bigsby allowed me to get get the vibrato and in my view make the guitar look better. I also upgraded the full wiring and pickups as they’re not great as standard on those guitars. I’ve also added Gibson tuners but not sure I’d done that when I did this video.
One thing I've never quite grasped about guitar is, why would a player tune the guitar up, when it's much easier to just put the capo on? What's the difference?
For a lot of songs maybe not much difference but the capo moves the start point up the neck, which can make it a bit tight to play some things higher up the neck, because the widths between the frets get narrower as you go higher. 👍🤓🎸
Another wonderful Smiths song to learn.👍
Cheers @pg6983, one of the best for guitar parts I think, merry Christmas and thanks for supporting my channel 🙏🎄🎸🤓

@@GuitarGary. Thanks! I'll watch those videos. There's something special about old Matsumoku, MIK and even later Chinese Sheratons

Hi Gary, is that one of the early Korean Sheraton's with the 'Epiphone by gibson' on the headstock with your own added trem?

"Some Smiths lessons online are better than others..." - How about their mothers?
Hopefully that means you think mine are better than others and their mothers 🤣🎸🤓
@@GuitarGary. Defo. Ace lesson. Cheers.
@@garethmacdonald8106 that’s what I like to hear thanks for your support and more Smiths coming very soon 🙏🤓🎸👍
