  • Come see the day to day routine of my pottery studio. I'm glazing and unloading the kiln then delivering mugs in this episode. I've got a lot of wholesale mug orders to fulfill this time of year so I take you on the process of glazing, and then firing the kiln. And even bring you on the delivery of some of the mugs.
What do you want to see more of in this series? The life of a potter is very busy and there are so many tasks in the day to day that I could film, but what would you actually watch?

Sometimes the universe forces you (through a wrist injury) to step back and take a break, cuz creatives are workaholics and go til burnout. Glad you're feeling better physically and mentally. Keep rockin! Totally diggin' the vlog style.
Much love from the Midwest US 💖

Glad to see you back at it. I enjoy the vlog posts the most. You know, a little info candy for the brain without getting to deep. Honestly, I just dig your channel. Thanks for getting out here again.

I spent the day unloading a kiln, then glazing to reload a kiln. Glad to see you back

that's a good feeling to have enough work in the queue that you can fill the kiln up as soon as it's done firing! Nice work!

wholesale mass production ..work is hard on the creative mind.. but it is the bread and butter I guess

Yeah I try to keep a healthy balance. For me it was just not having time outside the studio to go adventure and let my mind be creative in other ways that also played a big part in that burnout

Thanks! Yeah I’m way more cautious than I used to be when it comes to snowboarding or anything “extreme” haha. I must be getting old. Yes wishing us and all the potters out there good health this year!!

Looking forward to seeing your revamped studio space. It will do you a LOT of good to start fresh. It is amazing to me how energized I get with a clean space.....makes the creativity flow! Do you have a storefront too? ...or just studio space? Also, a big thank you for your practical "how to set up for a art festival" videos. They helped us get ready for our first pottery festival. I think we watched them at least 3 times! We really enjoyed them and ordered many of the items you suggested for your space. Our tent is just like yours and you really did a great job with sharing practical advice. We sent in our first application on Monday for a show in April. Very excited to see if we get in!

That’s awesome that it helped so much. Hopefully it’ll make the process easier for you! Congrats on the first application, it’s a fun thing to be a part of.
And yes I have a storefront. I need to redo that as well but the making space comes first haha
