- Liberal MP Andrew Wallace slams Treasurer Jim Chalmers who has “lost control” and has “no idea” what he’s doing.
The feud between the RBA and Mr Chalmers continues, who claimed Australia’s central bank was “smashing the economy”.
“It is absolutely, fundamentally clear that Jim Chalmers has lost control,” Mr Wallace told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“He has no idea what he’s doing.”
Too much immigration and too much Government spending, and too many businesses going to the wall.
Too many "donations" overseas that are of no benefit to Australians.
He lost control because he had no idea.
He needed to have control to start with …

Saying Chalmers has "lost control" suggests he was in control at some point.
He has a doctorate in political science and politicizing economics is exactly what he is doing and not making the economy work for the majority.

This is what happens when someone with no finance/economics qualification is made the treasurer or an entire country. The system was designed to keep people like Jim from having roles like this. I imagine he’ll leave his role in the next 6 months, will no doubt be given another job in labor he’ll fail at.

I don't try and spend too much but it is hard.
Inflation is fed by wage rises and increased government spending. What are the non-negotiables for a Labor Government? Basically, the only answers to this question are wage rises and increased government spending.
What happens when inflation gets out of control? Given that the only hedge against inflation is to hold growth assets, namely shares and property, what happens is that the gap between the wealthy and the poor gets larger.
And yet, most Australians believe Labour is the party that looks after the poor!
What a conundrum this is!
Hasn't inflation come down a long way in the the last year or so? Latest I heard it was at 3.5%, very close apparently to the Reserve Bank target. Maybe the Reserve Bank governor should start looking at easing interst ratest by just a little bit instead of telling us to be prepared to sell our home if it gets all too much. The bank waited too long with raising the interest rate when it all started, maybe they are waiting too long to start bringing them down.
