This is your first plane? Get the kit in the air ASAP. Then when the weather is bad you can start an other one using what you learned from flying this one and make necessary changes. You will be surprised how fast things move, when you really get started! Best of luck, ever look back!

Id love to see the progress come along! I myself make art of these types of experimental aircraft. just wish that cad stuff wasn't so confusing. but also wouldn't mind getting something like this.

I might be interested in the STOL wing tank you have. Also, I noticed that your speed wing extensions have the cable for the trailing edge. On the MK IV, an aluminum trailing edge was used. C model and earlier used the cable for the trailing edge.
Hey Jim, yeah it's available. I'll send you a PM on avidfoxflyers. Yeah the wings are definitely pre-model 4. I may still go with speed wing, but will either sell them or rebuild them with the trailing edges that came with.
Looks like you did well with the purchase of this one, good luck with the build. Being a first build probably a good idea to get right on with getting it all finished at a brisk pace and fly it. Some of your intended mods seem a bit superfluous to me and adding weight in bush plane might not be the best idea if you are going STOL and short field take off and landing, ie wide body, (when you will be solo as a slim guy), extending this and adding that, Alloy tanks over fibreglass, (heavier?).
Thanks! Yeah, definitely something to consider how much I build on it at first vs add later. But, I do love building, and I still need to finish my pilots license, so I'm not in a huge hurry here either. Thanks for the consideration!

I'm building the same plane here soon. Going to pick it up next month I'm also eating to extend the fuselage. I saw a video from a guy who has extended his 18inch. He sent me his email and said he would explain and tell me how to do it. Also curious about your stol wings. I think the ones that come with mine are stol wings. But don't have the extensions that's what I'm wondering how I can extend mine.

I had a Avid C with the extended Speedwings and had the same flaperons, I’d like to buy your rib set tho I have an Avid mark 4 kit but need wings ribs for it,
