- China on June 27 warned Taiwan’s newly elected President Lai Ching-te that he will be “punished by law if he “attempts” to “split” the nation. The warning from the Chinese defence ministry came in response to the United States’ alleged plan to “deploy” weapons in the Taiwan Strait. According to a report by The Washington Post, the US is working on a strategy called “Hellscape” to “thwart” China’s attempt to “invade” Taiwan. The report cited Admiral Samuel Paparo, the new head of the US Indo-Pacific Command. Watch the video to know more about the report.

China's idea of "Reunification" is a contradiction and doesn't make sense. They have the One China Policy that states Taiwan is part of China and refers to Taiwan as a province of China but at the same time says Taiwan must reunify with China. See the contradiction? How can you remarry your spouse if you have a marriage certificate that says you're already married? If Taiwan and China have not "Reunified" that means they're two seperate entities that are not unified, however, the One China Policy that most countries ablige by clearly states that Taiwan is part of China. I think this reunification is just PRC nonsense and they just want TOTAL control over Taiwan and its people. It's nothing but an excuse.

Indonesia has many 17,000 islands and many languages . If these many parts were behaving like taiwanese back then..we could see forever civil wars for independence probably till today. In 1965 in Indonesia during political unrest, many Chinese immigrants (newly due to civil wars between national & comunist china), were slaughtered in Indonesia.. as a result due to competition/rivalry of both political system they called democratic (U.S.A) & communists (mainland china). Taiwanese don't know how Indonesian chinese immigrants suffering in 1965 because of their stubborness adding fuel to the rivalry between China & U.S unlike Japanese that solemnly accept defeat to U.S after atomic bomb (probably Taiwanese want the same ending ?) So I suggests to taiwanese.. don't be so selfish , no war is better then winning the war. Let's see if you really are in worse conditions in the future under mainland's rule..then from there you can rise up. I did respect U.S. and western countries, not anymore now. Too simplistic.
