I was thinking if the price was low enough it might be a way to start into DMR for a beginner, but not at that price. Would be cheaper to get DMR HT and maybe a cheap hotspot.
Well they just priced themselves out of the market. They should stick with their other products. I’ll use my Marconi/ Bowman PRR radios for basic comms. I think I paid the amount for one of the MIKE radios and received four working sets when they were dirt cheap about a decade ago.
Yeah if it was in the $100-$150 range I would say maybe. Cheaper DMR radios start at around $90 like the Retevis RT3S. If you want YSF the FT70d is $180. Getting one of these radios and hacking together a pi with a mmdvm is more cost effective... and more fun IMO!
There is No RF involved..., No Radio Required. Currently you use a Handheld, DMR/DSTAR/Fusion etc to talk to a Hotspot which is connected to the Internet With this you do it all Directly on the M1KE, and a Lot more, the M1KE is Connected to the Internet.
There in an ass for every seat. Heck, rFinder is selling a 4G android phone for $1699 when 5G is the standard these days and if the rFinder guy, who lives in Mexico, goes SK...then what?
Thank you for the product review of the product you have never seen or touched, know nothing about, how it will work, or how much it costs. Thank you for reading the sentences in the product announcement and your personal interpretations of the what they might have meant.
@timscott9811 my pleasure to give a product announcement and input on my channel. Thank God there's no sad hams to ruin it for people like you, who enjoy it and don't suck the life out of people having a good time.
Wasn't there a cell phone with the 'MIKE' system build into it decades ago? Great system for person to person or group chats, wish I could remember the make.
Its just a portable ip radio with ham radio reatures similar to the dv mage cast with a Wi-Fi transmitter, i will wait for the price to go below 200 before i buy one
€349.00 or $363.73, according to the website.
@medic1957 . I still don't see it, but i must have missed it. If it is, that is pobably too expensive for my liking. Hopefully, others enjoy it
I figured about 350
Too rich for my blood.

Sounds like a OpenSpot Pro 4 with a microphone.

@@MINI-4X4-RADIO If it's wireless, then RF is involved...
I'm guessing its the standard 100mW/20dBM for wifi.
@@KC9UNS That's what it says in the spec 20dBM, would have been nice with SMA Connector for Antenna
🤣 $350? 😂 For a handheld hotspot? This will fail miserably.

Far too much money!
750mW audio works in a room, but not in moving vehicles. 2W is about the minimum for vehicle mobile.

Nextel Chirp
ah yes Nextel. I loved those.
it's going to be actually a Wi-Fi walkie-talkie the non-licensed,
It doesn't look like it will have a hotspot mode as well, as direct. That loses me at that price point.

Buy two for your kids and one for yourself = 1.100 $ 😂😂😂 Good ideas should pay off, but I personally find this price outrageous.
Or just use Peanut on mobile phone for free
I'll check it out thanks
Peanut requires the site you are connecting to to provide an AMBE chip. Don’t be so cheap and use his other software, BlueDV AMBE and an AMBE stick
@@sijilmasa I already have a pistar hotspot. Its all in the spirit of ham radio
RFinder is JUNK i hade 3 of them..........GARBAGE
Not at that price 👎🏻
trueeee.
