Sorry for not uploading the past few weeks! School got even more busy than usual. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this science-explaining video about what's been going on with Ignition' behind the scenes. It's a bit different than my usual style - Enjoy!
I think a good solution to this problem is to take inspiration from the bey torch Pegasus. It has a gimmick where the driver can be spun with a ripcord then you drop it and it spins if you look up a video of it it makes much more sence.
i would love to see more of these videos describing your design process in the future! I'm REALLY lazy when it comes to lego beyblades, but seeing this makes me want to spend more time and thought into my gimmicks.
this video was pretty different tbh, but rly cool all things aside tho the prototype for imperial dragon (shown somewhere in the video) looks pretty cool
Maybe you could make the weight drop from the layer at launch to the driver. That would make the driver heavier and could make it spin counter clockwise. Good luck
Yeah, ignition' was quite a challenge! I really wanted to find a way to make it work. To put it as a cut line from the video: "Maybe the true gimmick was the knowledge we learned along the way"
Don't worry bro you always seem to amaze us with the the effort u put into your beys and I was happy just to see an upload but if you keep at it I believe you can make something better. Maybe not as good as the original ignition' but a usable one. Much love bro.
Hi, I've been thinking and maybe it would be possible to make two layers of rotation where in the second layer the rotation would be opposite to the first, and when the Beyblade tilts it would rotate at another angle.
Here’s an idea make a engine gear Driver from the first chapter of Beyblade make the engine gear go left spin when the Beyblade starts losing stamina make it go Left spin by two pieces of Lego going in and then triggering the mechanism to spin around to make go in left rotation
I think everyone has attempted something like this or engine gear or some type, but we have all failed, if we want to create such beauty we need to come together… and create it!!! LETS GO MY BROTHERS!
Hey I have an idea but idk if it will truly work, I'm thinking that we make a free spin part with the bey and use rubber bands to achieve it. Let me k ow if you want a better explanation or whatever
This is my idea this idea might not work but my idea is when another Beyblade hits Dragon a gear inside the bey can move and spin counterclockwise so yeah. That is pretty much my idea I know it does not really make sense but i will edit this comment if I can think of something better and something more explanatory.
I know it’s a bit too late for any suggestions with the ignition driver. But instead of using gears to change the spin during battle, you could probably pull off a lego Helios Volcano gimmick in the driver to reverse its spin using rubber bands when it’s hit hard enough. I think it’s possible to make this with a compact enough space, and you could probably release it in a random booster with some sort of recolor.
The main problem with this, which many others already suggested, is that the rubber bands wouldn't provide a continuous change in spin direction but rather an instantaneous one. Even if it did work, the momentum would only shift for half a second at best.
you should do a thing where you use failed drivers that just so happen to function as their own gimmick. like the end result is it's own gimmick and would probably cool on a normal Beyblade . performance might suck but like it ya.
Hi, I did all the things you did and fixed your bug. You just have to tune the tip with something, like a rubber band. Then I put a piece and tied it. Now it works in the fight when it hits.
I mean before anything else, it's obviously impossible to create an accurate Ignition at the scale of an average lego beyblade The best you can do is something that functions or performs similarly
dude why not put like a limit break system where it unlocks mid battle (dont worry about size just yet) then make the next part and integrate it into your system, oooooooooooooooooooooooooor you could make the motor you want to use a bit stronger by replacing insides (try to find one that can have connections on the side, you could also try making the gear mechanism have little scraping system that goes in opposite direction so you could drive enough force, or just wait for some new parts, try 3D printing lego parts if you can making it easier to make
There are two problems with this. First of all, it'll be the layer that spins, not the driver, since the layer is the one with less mass. Secondly, even if it did work, the change would be instantaneous rather than activating over a certain period of time, similar to using rubber bands.
So when you launch a beyblade with atomic it gose a bit unlanced so my idea was Shot + atomic / the shot driver was made for other way when the atomic driver stays a bit unbalanced
I have a idea on what you can do you could try and put a hole through the driver and then when you use the ripcord on it, it's sorta like a version of the plasticgen beyblade that launched itself basically it doesn't need a launcher
hmm, have you tried using a makeshift sort of Engine gear system for your Lego ignition'? it's an old system back at the plastic generation of Beyblade and maybe you could use some small techniques and some rubber bands to pull it off, although you do have to wind the driver again before another battle and change the rubber once it gets worn down from stretching stress, for someone like you who knows Legos pretty well, im sure you could recreate it somehow
I know of the engine gear system and have seen videos such as Lauran's that try to recreate it, but I don't think rubber bands are complex enough to get the opposite spinning motion. I think the reverse engine gear operates using a rotational spring to store rotational energy, which is hard to obtain at the right size, and even if I got it, it would be challenging to get it to activate at the right time.
i have an idea : similar to your hybrid driver, make driver that uses rubber bands to go counter clockwise when the spin is slow, now i havent really test it because of : 1. i dont have enough peices 2. i dont have much technic peices so i cant just recycle parts :u
What about cutting the rubber band to make a string like thing, tape on side to the tip (bottom)and tape the other side to the driver(top) then wind it, or maybe it works better In my mind :u
Basically, cut off a rubber band into a string, make a free spinng tip driver, tape/glue the freespin tip to one side of the rubber band, and tape/glue the other side to the non freespin part
Maybe try adding putty to the free spin tip and make sure to use a strong rubber band, so when the bey spin the tip winds up, then when the spin is low, it unwinds
@@Arcturus77-2 Unwinding something like an engine gear doesn't work well: and even if it did it's an instantaneous change instead of a continuous change
You should get to round heavy objects wonder the layer one on the bottom piece and then both ways will go to same way but then it will turn the opposite direction
What if you put a non-rotating gear on one side of the beyblade and the driver have a gear that connects to it but is free spin. I don't know if that makes any sense but I made a video on it.
From what I can understand that just seems like a normal free spin driver EDIT: After watching your video it seems like you tried to used the simple 2-gear method. However, I don't think it'll work, since they're not on the same vertical axis. IF the red axle gear is free spin to the grey axle gear then the layer spinning will not rotate the other way (relatively): it's like the moon orbiting the Earth. Just because the moon moves one way doesn't mean that the Earth rotates the other way. If the two gears are not free spin, then there's no transfer of torque. But if you can get it to work IRL, I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
@@Legobeyz Thank You for responding. I wanted to try to make the gear on the layer free spin but I cannot test it out but I will once I get all the pieces.
Put both weights on both the layer and driver and put an eraser between the layer and driver and then the power of the launching will eventually fling the eraser outta there and both layer and driver would have enough spin power
The reversing technic is not really easy in lego this gimmick is is used by batteries and we can't really put anytype of battery in lego to make a driver speed up and reverse it's rotation

You just need to use the turntable and the circle plate with the hollow stud and it’s similar to the ignition dash driver when its scrape
does it work?
@@josephinemarydonbosco8345 it depends on how fast the bey is spinning is while scraping

COOL
So when you launch a beyblade with atomic it gose a bit unlanced so my idea was
Shot + atomic / the shot driver was made for other way when the atomic driver stays a bit unbalanced
Maybe make it work more like the engine gear instead of the real ignition. Like a wind up toy. Use a rubber band to retract it
The problem is that it won't act like ignition. The change will be instantaneous, not continuous, so the driver will just stutter at best.
This is cool bro
Maybe take the motor and stuff from the original ignition’ and just make it lego compatible?
What would happen if there was mass on both layer and ignition’ driver?

try to make its mechanics like top blade it would work

Good voice.
dude just use a small wheel for the tip. when it spins it will reverse
That's...not how physics works?
I observe the spin power of beyblade and i realize that left is weaker than right meaneng spinning it left will make the ignition driver work
So like spin head
