- ⚜️Domaine national de Chambord | Restoration of the stonework in the flowerbeds
Water-Gate© technology was chosen to restore the submerged masonry. The project involved raising a travelling vertical scaffold out of the water in several phases over a distance of 600 metres.
The technical challenge was to install a cofferdam that could hold back up to 2.50 m of water on uneven ground (piles, embankments, debris, slopes, silt, aquatic weeds, etc.) without damaging the river bed and with minimum impact.
To reach such a depth, we combined the solution of flexible cofferdams on a base of big-bags wrapped in watertight polyane sheeting.

Merci beaucoup pour vos encouragements ! Nous avons pour mission de remettre les murs hors d'eau afin de les rénover jusqu'à leurs fondations. D'ailleurs, les travaux ont été interrompus pendant plusieurs mois suite à la découverte d'infrastructures en bois d'intérêt archéologique. Les grands sites historiques réservent souvent des surprises !

Thank you so much! Our work involves draining the walls to renovate them all the way down to their foundations. Interestingly, the project was paused for several months when we uncovered wooden infrastructures of archaeological significance. Working on major historical sites like this often brings unexpected discoveries!
