I recently revisited peyote and I have to admit I ran into a few problems with this tutorial, but then I worked on it and figured it out. The first two rows are the five purple and the five gold beads you place on the thread first. Row 3: GGPPP, Row 4: PPGPG, Row 5: GPGGP, Row 6: PGPGP, Row 7: GPGPG, Row 8: PGPPG, Row 9: GGPGP, Row 10: PPGGG. Then start the repeat with Row 1: GGGPP and Row 2: PPPGG. Continue with Row 3 through 10 then Rows 1 through 10 until desired length.....hope this helps! Thanks for a beautiful design!
Your bead sequence was perfect. I was able to make this pattern successfully. Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to document this. I am happily wearing my new ring as I write this.😉
So pretty! 😍 miyuki indeed are always gorgeous... re pattern, if I want to include a word or symbol, how can a beginner estimate whether peyote or brick stitch is best? Just started learning beadwork.
I really like this pattern, but I could NOT follow along on which beads to pick up and how to interpret your pattern. On other peyote tutorials I've seen, the presenter has provided a bead word chart, with colors designated as A, B, C, etc. (and you can decide what colors A, B, C translate too). The word charts will state, row by row, to peyote stitch something like this: 1A, 2B, 1A, 3B, 2C, 1A. I think this would have helped all of us tremendously and encourage you to teach this way. The word chart can go in your show notes under the video.
This is obviously not a beginner project. I wish you had gone half way at least. However, they are lovely rings, especially the gold and purple you're working on. Thank you for your time.
I love the video but I need one on one in order to do just telling the truth but I’m going to hold on to this and get someone to teaching me this thank you
If you try it a couple of times you will get it. I don’t usually tape it down- it’s a little clumsy but I prefer to hold the piece. It usually takes me three tries to a actually get it- keep trying- go slow and you will love it!
We are sorry to hear that you found the video difficult to follow, we do have a wide variety of videos covering the Peyote style and hope that these may be helpful to you. Happy Crafting
Hmm.. great looking pattern but assume too much as to skill level of the audience .. you spent more time on, literally, on ending the ring than making it.. as a novice it would be been advantageous to know how to make or read your “pattern” to understand placement of ea bead etc.. didn’t enjoy this process at all 👎🏻

One of the better How to videos on peyote stitch. I love the recommendation of taping down the thread to begin with.

I agree with you is kind of hard to follow your drawing. Beautiful pattern but not able to fallow.

can you do the same ring with a bigger size seed bead?
Great pattern but I’m of the opinion you have to do it thru it all , not just the 4 rows. I’m so disappointed
How you follow?

I don't see any pattern u only show us a couple of rows.... It's not step by step at all
🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍👏👏👏
Where you you get the beads
very difficult to follow

@@yolandaocampo4589 I'm sorry, I don't speak your language'.
