I almost burnt my sons switch up when the battery started to fold got hot and started smoking. Be careful when doing this!!

I tried fixing mine, is the battery supposed to be the exact same as the damaged one? I got a 14wh when the one in my switch says 13.6 wh, or did I do something wrong? (I did strip some of the screws but I got some replacements)
@@AynaxTech1 not the battery but the stray that slides into the motherboard and clips on with the push down tab to lock the brown battery strip in place . I have a spare Nintendo but I just can't see that good to see how it came off 🤦🏽♂️
@@hubertobogaert8967 Yes, really Wattage and ampperage are extremely important and if there's too much or too little the device will either not work, or fry its circuitry
Are you remove cable screen or not , if not I think you damaged screen when you tried to change battery, if you like you can drop your console to our shop or send it in mail and i will fix it
i used the back of a spoon to pry the battery loose while slowly pooling on the cable connection and weding with a little plastic tool whatever progress i could make with the spoon and it worked
@@Henyx3 yeah…. I ruined the entire system and not even two different professionals/companies could figure out how to fix it… it took several months and hundreds of dollars. So the answer is: DON’T EVEN TRY TO DO IT YOURSELF. (And I was careful as hell too!)
@@CharlesHepburn2 The connector pushes down on the board It's your fault you tried to brute force it I had no difficulty anywhere because I used a little thing called COMMON SENSE

@@AynaxTech1 I got it out and replaced the battery and my switch turns on now but unfortunately it seems the charging port was the culprit. I tried 3 different chargers and outlets too. Changing the charger port looks a bit too difficult for me to try though. But thanks for this easy to follow vid.
Just wanted to update in case anyone else comes across this, I found a thread on google and they suggested trying a toothpick to straighten the pins out in the port. Since it was *my**LAST* option before my switch lite becoming a paper weight I gave it a try and low and behold it worked!

How about you grow up and realise that batteries don't last forever, and neither will the wiring in your house, both are man made and will go bad eventually

Hello - I keep seeing videos where people are using the conductor glue. Do you not really need that? It looks like you did it successfully without.
It's not very important, if you put glue will be better
probbaly much easier if you want to remove again the abttery
The white snap clip for the battery stap came off when I opened it and chance to put it back on ?
Its not easy to return it i recommend to buy another battery
