Has anyone tested the level of Omega-3 and Omega-6 in these farmed fish. On the one hand, to have fidh to est is better than to have none. But, on the other hand, we learned that the scientific literature that farmed gish has more Omega-6 than Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-6 is inflammatory. Omega-3 is anti-inflammatory. It is the ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 that matters the most. In the U.S., health experts recommend against eating Tilapia and avoiding freshwater fish.
Nuts, peanut butter and vegetable oil are much richer in omega 6 fatty acid. The main health problem with eating farmed fish is transfer of the drugs used to raise the fish to people who eat them.
When there are 1.4 billion mouths to feed, one has to be resourceful in making affordable food available to the public. Well done China.
