Thanks Mr Ginseng. I am currently in recovery, off work from acromegaly tumor removal surgery, I struggle with all the symptoms now and previous. I'm looking fwd to learning more about ssdi as I am afraid I can't return to my lifelong career of work as a trucker. Thank you
Mr. Ginsberg, I have not received a determination yet from my hearing in late March. I was wondering how I am to be notified i.e. Registered mail if my case is accepted opposed to regular mail if denied? Thought to ask you..? Thanks Bob/OKC
Hello Mr, Ginsburg first I would like to say thank you so much! After 3 1-2 years and after trying and giving up and trying again and almost giving up again on trying to get my disability back I finally have. I tried several times to find an attorney to help me and was turned down several times I had almost given up again until I found you on RUclips I watch several of your videos some of them several times and then it's hard for me to get things to sink into my head easily. But now I have a question for you the last three and a half years of my life have been the worst three and a half years ever when I first initially lost my disability in a matter of 3 months my mom passed my son who is also on disability got into trouble and went to jail for almost a year and then I lost my disability and with all of those when every bit of income that I had I went from buying a three bedroom house to living in an 81 Winnebago that had no brakes and a very leaky roof and eventually even became completely homeless I had lost my house the people that were hired that came with the sheriff to evict me treated me very and my things very unkind Lee and tore a lot of it up when they moved it outside then a lot of it was stolen buy just a lot of people needless to say as I said the next three and a half years was absolutely horrible my health has started to decline I almost lost my life a couple of times I stayed very sick during that three and a half years I am still very sick I just got my fully favorable decision about 2 weeks ago and am now waiting for everything to get going again I had been speaking to a neighbor a couple of months ago about everything and she had told me that she knew someone that was in a similar situation and that after he had gotten his disability back he had also gotten extra for I guess pain and suffering and other expenses he had accumulated Deering that time or something like that time and I was wondering if you new anyting about this kind of stuff and if you thought that I might be a candidate to be able to recover some of my pain and suffering and the loss of my home that I had spent a lot of time energy and heart making my own I don't want to be greedy I am grateful that I got it back because there is absolutely no way that I would ever be able to return to work again at least wise not without a lot a medical help and several different surgeries that I was told that I would need prior to you losing my disability so in short I guess what I'm asking is is there such a thing as being able to recover pain and suffering and things like that after being wrongly taken off of of my disability
I tried an acromegaly case earlier this year - we got a favorable decision as my client was able to clearly explain how her symptoms created specific work limitations.
Hello I have a question? If the vocational expert says he will not conclude prior work after asked by the judge if I could do my prior work what does that usually mean? Is that a good sign or bad sign?
Not being able to to prior work is "Step 4" in the 5 step sequential evaluation process. Legally, it means that the burden of proof will shift to SSA to prove that you cannot perform any work. In order to win, that is what the evidence must show - that you cannot perform even a simple, entry-level job.

You will be notified by regular mail either way.

No, there is nothing in SS law that would provide for pain and suffering due to SSA's actions.
I’m 39 and a flight attendant, just diagnosed with acromegaly, but I’ve been sick for many years now. It’s almost unbearable to go to work.
I tried an acromegaly case earlier this year - we got a favorable decision as my client was able to clearly explain how her symptoms created specific work limitations.

If I am over 50..Do you actually need to state in the SSDI application that you meet the Grid Rules or does SSA automatically apply it.
I would refer to the grid rules explicitly. Don't assume SSA will automatically do anything.
