  • Sinawali means to weave. These techniques mean we are weaving our hands. In this video, I show the single-weave and double-weave techniques. Then, how to transition between the two. Practice these essential double stick techniques as they are foundation movements even in the empty hands of Kali, Filipino Martial Arts.

    Im training Illustrismo kalis, but i love your videos because even though what im learning is more direct and practical, i like learning the beautiful movements in in other systems. I have been training goju ryu for most of my life along with other OMA/JMA arts, but im obsessed with FMA the past 2 years and it has aided my goju in ways that im finding excellent

    Good stuff. One thing I've learned teaching is that people get caught up learning the hand movements and don't learn the footwork and body mechanics at the same time. This leads to a major plateau and often discourages the student when they test their skills stickboxing. More focus on the synchronized V and X footwork integration with the movements will reap greater in the long run, imo.

    • @shanghaimoon
      @shanghaimoon 6 месяцев назад

      Ironically, Tai Chi and Wing Chun Mook Jong exercises can do wonders for integrating core body mechanics.

    I learnt the double weave from open chamber a year ago from your channel. I got it quite easily because I used to use double nunchucks which I gave up completely because escrima sticks are a much better weapon. I just wanted to ask is I made my own eskrima sticks out of ash and I think they're a bit heavy wen I'm doing the broken strikes if I'm not hitting an object... What are the best weight sticks for training as I think ratan is alot lighter and maybe easier on the tendons doing the broken strikes against no object.

    Hello Paul, Merry Crimbo. I’m not getting a response to my emails. All I want to know is how to switch my Kali classes on gumroad to swol. Do I need a new login details? Is it possible you could send a link please?

    • @kalicenter
      @kalicenter  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Dominic, weird, I haven’t seen any emails come in from you? Are you sending them via the email form at KaliCenter.com? To make the switch just cancel your Gumroad subscription and then go to www.kalicenter.com/ and click “Online School” in the main menu. That will bring you to the new platform. Follow the sign up steps from there. Thanks
