I am a zookeeper in chicago and I regularly feed the hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home. I put strings on the sausages and swing them around the hippos they get so mad at me and scream but it's an obsession sometimes the hippos try and break out of their cages but I keep swinging those hotdogs in wide circles over their heads. Luckily my boss doesn't know I do this or my coworkers

Besides, there has been some speculation that "exploratory bites" might actually be a shark's way of determining whether something is prey or not; if it tears and bleeds, it is, basically. Thing is, if that's true, then the bite serves two purposes: to tell the shark you're edible, and to wound you so you can't fight back or escape when he comes in for the kill. But it doesn't matter: an exploratory bite can kill you just as easily as a predatory one.
