Home Free actually Rickrolled us back around April Fool's Day. On FB, they released what appeared to be 3 new videos (one was Bohemian Rhapsody). But after a few seconds of what we thought was going to be an amazing new video - each of them switched to a clip from this video! That was a few days before this was released. In addition to an insane amount of talent, they have a wonderful sense of humor. I love 'em all, but I think my favorite is probably Tim (the bass). There's just something about that deep, deep voice. I love your reactions! (BTW, I have to agree with those that say you MUST check out the Butts Remix!)
Yeah, they got me GOOD that day. I fell for it the first two times, and then the third time I went in with eyes wide open. And was getting a bit annoyed that they weren't actually DOING the entire song. And then a few days later, they did!
Great reaction! It is so hard to pick a favorite! Love them all for different reasons. Im going to give you their names as they are in this video, so you can officially become a Home Fry.. My favorite I'm going to say is Tim Foust the bass guy.( the guy with the scarf on his head and eyeliner😁) The first time I heard them, Tim rattled my bones with that bass and captured my whole self with his smile. And that voice🥰....... OK enough of that! Now the guy with beard and glasses and trench coat is their tenor Rob Lundquist. (Our teddy bear with soul) Guy in dark blazer and striped shirt dark hair and beard is their baritone/ bass Adam Chance aka Chance.( Beautiful man with a beautiful voice) The guy in the white t shirt and dad jeans is the beat boxer/ vocal percussionist Adam Rupp (aka the freak of nature!)And last but certainly not least is Austin Brown ( so much talent for that small body and cutie too🙂) the guy doing the chicken dance as you said, is the other tenor of the group. I loved the fact that all but one of them wore the things Rick Astley wore in the video of this song. Last but certainly by no means least,, their “Freak of Nature” beatboxer,, Mr. Adam Rupp. (Him and his brother Chris Rupp started Home Free back in 2000 in their home state of Minnesota.). Chris was replaced by Chance,, so any video after 2016 will likely have Chance in it,, and any video before 2016 will have Chris. Fun Fact: Chris actually helped pick Chance out as his replacement. He left the band on very good terms,, though. If you’d like to see how Home Free got started,, please take a look at their Sing-Off journey. It will provide you with a lot of insight into who these fellas are. Not only are they insanely talented vocally,, but they are hilarious and just all around amazing dudes. Who is my favourite? Mmm... My 1st number one is Austin Brown - high tenor, red hair, chicken dance, denim. My 2nd number one is Rob Lundquist - lead tenor, beard, trench coat. My 3rd number one is Chance (Adam Chance) - baritone/tenor/base, trimmed beard rolled up jacket sleeves. My fourth number one is Chris Rupp - baritone, not in this video but in older video's usually hat or cap or bald (founding member) retired from band. My fifth number one is Tim Foust deep bass/tenor - bandana, sneakers and dancing like a maniac in storage facility. My final number one is Adam Rupp - beatboxer/tenor, white t-shirt, founding member. To me these six guys make up the HF sound and personality I love. I refuse to name my favourite, because I love all their voices and public personas. Let's just say I am a sucker for very high notes.

Hahaha such a good parody of the Rick Astley videos of the 80’s. The hair, makeup, dancing were in Rick’s videos including that raincoat Rob (glasses) was wearing. Rob was perfect for the lead in this. Loved Tim’s low notes in this too. (Tim is the bass doing the running man dance and the worm). Austin is the redhead who looked like Rick and his goofy dancing. Not a bad set of pipes there Adam. Enjoyed your reaction. This video was done during lock down but they still did their best to imitate the original video by Astley. I agree with a previous comment "Butts Remix" is an early one but a must see.
My faves are probably Tim (Bass) and Austin (High Tenor) especially when they are harmonizing together. The contrast of their voices is a cool effect. Can really hear it in What We Ain't Got. It's a cover Home Free did by Jake Owen. That is a great video of you don't mind slower songs.

Okay. I just gotta say it. I absolutely love you!! As soon as this reaction started, you totally had me at "We're no strangers...etc"!!😁 I was like "Is that him singing?!" I mean, I subbed a while ago and this one especially made me so damn glad I did! You've got the best personality for this. You have a great smile and sense of humor, and handsome too, lol! It's too hard to pick a favorite! They're all amazing and talented and can do things that surprise us. But I have to say I'm constantly amazed at the things Adam can do! Also the guys did their best to copy the dances and clothing from the original Rick Astley version. 🙂. But it makes me laugh every time! 😁
Welcome to the Home Fries family. I don't know how you feel about gospel music but their How Great Thou Art made me cry. Btw, ignore the can't be a Home Fry until you know their names. I'm horrible with names and it took me a good 3 weeks to remember their names. Just because you might not know names doesn't mean you can't love the music and appreciate the talent.
Trench coat man = Rob, Denim boy = Austin, Too cool for school in the white T-shirt = Adam Rupp (beatboxer extraordinaire), Mr. I Have to Roll My Jacket Sleeves Up To My Elbows = Adam Chance, Converse Wearing Worm Doing Bass = Tim. I can't choose which is my favorite. Shedding a tear here after seeing another Home Free convert. You can be a Home Fry when you learn the members of the band. Tim is the bass (Doing the worm in the stockroom), Rob is the one the tenor (in the trench coat by the fence), Adam is of course the beatboxer (blue jeans and white t-shirt), Adam Chance A.K.A. Chance is the baritone, and Austin is the High Tenor (The one with the chicken dance moves). Austin has left the band and they now have a new high tenor; Adam Bastien A.K.A. Bastien. So many Adams that since Adam Rupp was the first Adam in the band as well as one of the founders of the band he gets to use his first name. The other 2 Adams go by their last names.

Adam is my favorite and I think the most under appreciated. What's also so amazing about this video is that it was done during lock down so they were actually in 3 different states in 5 different locations. It astounds me how much content they put out during quarantine using their phones and home recording equipment while bigger name artists were bitching about not being able to go to the studios.

Home Free is: Earlier Years Chris Rupp (usually wearing a Cowboy Hat & always smiling) and Adam Rupp, the Beatboxer founded the Group. Chris went Solo in 2016 with which he is doing Very Well! Adam Chance who goes by Chance was brought in to replace Chris! Chance is the Baritone that has a 4 Octave Range. He can replace Tim, the Group's Bassist when needed as Chance was the Bassist in his previous Group before Home Free. Back to Adam Rupp, he's the incredibly talented Beatboxer and can sing well too! His Beatboxing is above and beyond any other Beatboxer that I have seen! He's also won several Beatboxing Championships to boot!😁😁 Now to Tim, the Group's Bassist has a 5 Octave Range so he can Lead the Group as a Bassist or a Tenor or something in between! He's Phenomenal and he's also taught some other Bassists from other Acapella Group's to be able to do certain things that allow them to get Lower and hit Notes they weren't able to before now. The Bearded Singer is the Group's Tenor and he is Awesome! Such a Creamy Tone and at times his Range is incredible too! To end the Group's Members is Austin the Group's High Tenor. This man is unbelievable! He can hit the highest of the highest of notes and he still can do Low Notes almost Baritone standards! Now hopefully you can get caught up with the Group's Members!
First off, The member you like with the cool shades and long coat....That's Rob. Austin is wearing the blue shirt with his hair pulled back and playing around with his sunglasses. Time is theBass singer of the group He's the member dancing around with his funky styled hair wrapped in the bandana, Adam is the member of the band who does most of the Beat-boxing/tempo keeping for the group (Primarily) since depending on the song they cover, everyone gets a turn singing the lead vocals. Chase, I want to say possibly He sings the mid baritone vocals. has the short hair style, and sports the mustache and barely chin covering beard. And they do a very remarkable rendition and play around in the video for the song Wake me up by Avicii. One of the very first songs I listened to that got me Hooked to lovin all the guys and their crazy antics. However, they do with any song they sing, There's a song that was Really well done by The Dixie chicks (Country) called Travelin' Soldier that Home Free did some nice work changing words around to sing it from the Masculine point of view. And they cut up the rug with their videos for Some girls do by sawyer Brown, and Sold, by John Micael Montgomery. But Tim collabs with another acapella singer Peter Hollins singing the theme to the Hobbit film, called Misty Mountain...Where Tim gets to showcase his Deep. VERY LOW notes in his varous vocal register. Also, they are Hilarious as chipmunks on caffeine and bouncing off the walls with their own version of dolly Parton's Hit, 9 to 5. (And Rob sings lead in that song for the video. ). have Fun checking out all the music you can. Great way to start AND end the day! . Top pick for me though, is the Home Free version of the 2 song mash up Of Deirks Bently's Woman, Amen and Female by Keith urban. (Personally MY #1 favorite Positive song promoting The Glorifying and Cherishment of Women in the world.
I just cannot choose my favorite. I guess which ever one is singing at the moment. Your camera clarity is levels above most content I see. All around great production and content.

All of them are great but Adam Rupp the beatboxer is the "secret sauce" that really puts them over the top. He contributes so much that is overlooked by the casual listener.

If you watch the original Rick Astly vidéo for this song you can see that they picked settings and outfits - and dance moves! From the original. It was quite something when on April Fool's day Home Fries opened what we thought was Bohemian Rhapsody only to have a snippet of the chorus rick roll us form the next 4 minutes . The boys have a lot of fun, definitely do the Butts Medley Remix.

To answer your question: Rob Lundquist is my favorite member, I think. His is the first voice I experienced with 9 to 5. But I have a huge affinity for Bears and he definitely is a bear even though he's straight & married. :-)

My faves are probably Tim (Bass) and Austin (High Tenor) especially when they are harmonizing together. The contrast of their voices is a cool effect. Can really hear it in What We Ain't Got. It's a cover Home Free did by Jake Owen. That is a great video of you don't mind slower songs.

Okay. I just gotta say it. I absolutely love you!! As soon as this reaction started, you totally had me at "We're no strangers...etc"!!😁 I was like "Is that him singing?!" Welcome to the Home Fries family. I don't know how you feel about gospel music but their How Great Thou Art made me cry. Btw, ignore the can't be a Home Fry until you know their names. I'm horrible with names and it took me a good 3 weeks to remember their names. Just because you might not know names doesn't mean you can't love the music and appreciate the talent.

You can be a Home Fry when you learn the members of the band. Tim is the bass (Doing the worm in the stockroom), Rob is the one the tenor (in the trench coat by the fence), Adam is of course the beatboxer (blue jeans and white t-shirt), Adam Chance A.K.A. Chance is the baritone, and Austin is the High Tenor (The one with the chicken dance moves). Austin has left the band and they now have a new high tenor; Adam Bastien A.K.A. Bastien. So many Adams that since Adam Rupp was the first Adam in the band as well as one of the founders of the band he gets to use his first name. The other 2 Adams go by their last names.

Adam is my favorite and I think the most under appreciated. What's also so amazing about this video is that it was done during lock down so they were actually in 3 different states in 5 different locations. It astounds me how much content they put out during quarantine using their phones and home recording equipment while bigger name artists were bitching about not being able to go to the studios.

Home Free is:
Earlier Years Chris Rupp (usually wearing a Cowboy Hat & always smiling) and Adam Rupp, the Beatboxer founded the Group. Chris went Solo in 2016 with which he is doing Very Well!
Adam Chance who goes by Chance was brought in to replace Chris!
Chance is the Baritone that has a 4 Octave Range.
He can replace Tim, the Group's Bassist when needed as Chance was the Bassist in his previous Group before Home Free.
Back to Adam Rupp, he's the incredibly talented Beatboxer and can sing well too!
His Beatboxing is above and beyond any other Beatboxer that I have seen!
He's also won several Beatboxing Championships to boot!😁😁
Now to Tim, the Group's Bassist has a 5 Octave Range so he can Lead the Group as a Bassist or a Tenor or something in between!
He's Phenomenal and he's also taught some other Bassists from other Acapella Group's to be able to do certain things that allow them to get Lower and hit Notes they weren't able to before now.
The Bearded Singer is the Group's Tenor and he is Awesome!
Such a Creamy Tone and at times his Range is incredible too!
To end the Group's Members is Austin the Group's High Tenor.
This man is unbelievable!
He can hit the highest of the highest of notes and he still can do Low Notes almost Baritone standards!

First off, The member you like with the cool shades and long coat....That's Rob. Austin is wearing the blue shirt with his hair pulled back and playing around with his sunglasses. Time is theBass singer of the group He's the member dancing around with his funky styled hair wrapped in the bandana, Adam is the member of the band who does most of the Beat-boxing/tempo keeping for the group (Primarily) since depending on the song they cover, everyone gets a turn singing the lead vocals. Chase, I want to say possibly He sings the mid baritone vocals. has the short hair style, and sports the mustache and barely chin covering beard. And they do a very remarkable rendition and play around in the video for the song Wake me up by Avicii. One of the very first songs I listened to that got me Hooked to lovin all the guys and their crazy antics. However, they do with any song they sing, There's a song that was Really well done by The Dixie chicks (Country) called Travelin' Soldier that Home Free did some nice work changing words around to sing it from the Masculine point of view. And they cut up the rug with their videos for Some girls do by sawyer Brown, and Sold, by John Micael Montgomery. But Tim collabs with another acapella singer Peter Hollins singing the theme to the Hobbit film, called Misty Mountain...Where Tim gets to showcase his Deep. VERY LOW notes in his varous vocal register. Also, they are Hilarious as chipmunks on caffeine and bouncing off the walls with their own version of dolly Parton's Hit, 9 to 5. (And Rob sings lead in that song for the video. ). have Fun checking out all the music you can. Great way to start AND end the day! . Top pick for me though, is the Home Free version of the 2 song mash up Of Deirks Bently's Woman, Amen and Female by Keith urban. (Personally MY #1 favorite Positive song promoting The Glorifying and Cherishment of Women in the world.

My favorite is Adam Rupp. A lot of people can sing, but few can do what Adam does. But, they are all fantastic singers and performers..
Favorite? Well hell, each of them has taken a turn in that spot. Including former member and Adam Rupp's cofounder brother Chris, and producer/arranger Darren Rust there are 7 secret weapons worthy of fave status. Yes, individually and collectively they are ALL my favorites.

I love each of them but I think Austin is my favorite.they are all phenomenal singers but his talent is incredible and the energy he brings is contagious. with every video you watch you seem to find new talents they have. they never disappoint.
If you watch the original Rick Astly vidéo for this song you can see that they picked settings and outfits - and dance moves! From the original. It was quite something when on April Fool's day Home Fries opened what we thought was Bohemian Rhapsody only to have a snippet of the chorus rick roll us form the next 4 minutes . The boys have a lot of fun, definitely do the Butts Medley Remix.
The best part was the day before they released this was April Fools Day, they did the opening of Queen's B Rhapsody then did an actual Rick Roll into an excerpt of this right at the break lol
