Sorry to break it but if you were looking to see that it would have to be a space telescope a telescope on the ground could not see that😢 The most you would see with a Barlow and a high magnification eyepiece is smaller more like a ball with a disc around and some detail on the planet. Trust me though I thought the same I thought you could see that to when I first watched the video.

no one has directly observed j1407b before, we only observed a transit of a star it did its even more likely that its not a planet with an extensive ring system and more that its a brown dwarf birthing protoplanets
