The Ghosts of Bannockburn House: Podcast Special

  • In October 2023 I was honoured to be invited to join Paul, Lucy and Lindsey on a tour of the incredible Bannockburn House for the Eerie Edinburgh podcast.
Rather than my usual format, I thought it best to hear the stories of its history and hauntings told by those who know the place best - the people who have experienced them.

It would be great to see photos of the portraits so we know who is being talked about. Like a child, I need to see some pictures! The bay window, the former owner, the garden. Otherwise, it was great to hear about this house. I would love to know more about the renovation.

In the first year here, i found black 'sandy' footprints (adult size) in the shower and i'd come home from work and a bedside lamp would be on. I'm in agreement with the previous comment-- I missed a lot of this as I found the audio quality a bit poor for my somewhat deaf ears, and I particularly found the lady with the English accent diffucult to follow. Your own voice is great, just the job for narrating these, so maybe you should consider narrating it yourself?

The lasses voice alliteration was so vague in sound quality also the tone is not concise enough so words ran into each other and were frustratingly vague. She knows her stuff but needed a few 'goes' in practice. Ironically the sound is 20 x worse on tv with much more clarity on the mobile phone.

@@annajarczynska7330 Haha! I've never heard that song, but feel like I should have. Sounds like the kind thing my old Grannie and Grandad would play. Its put a wee smile on my face. Those knockings are weird. Honestly, don't remember hearing anything or noticing someone tapping on anything, I'm trying to think of where we stood and if anyone could have been fidget tapping on furniture when we were talking, but I can't quite remember.
