looks like the building was built in the last 10-15 year ,seems a bit of a waste but know doubt someone's bought it and knocked it down for a reason

One of the things i find maddening is the guys with the water hoses almost blinding the work being carried out. Its one thing for the viewer to have to contend with but, have the drivers ever had to tell them to turn it off ?

mostly the hose guys know when to spray water and when not to. But the operator has the best view and sometimes he has to tell them to stop because he can't see anything through the combination of water spray and sunlight.

It seems there are a lot of wasted movements of the grappler, just to grab a single stick of wood and bring it all the way down. Weird. Or spending time to use the bucket to knock over a pile of bricks. It’s like the operator is playing almost.

the fastest and safest way! You can't let a worker climb up there into the weakened building, too dangerous.

I'm always surprised they don't leave more space in front of the buildings being demolished. Ok I know the crane driver has done it many times before and is an expert at his job, but I was always taught from an early age to always 'expect' the 'unexpected' when demolishing a building. The trouble with all jobs like this you can't be 100% certain that the ground hasn't settled under a certain part of the building, even an old water leak is enough to do it, or just the rain over the years. I saw the results once of an entire building that was being demolished - (like this one from the rear and the side), - and nearly the whole of the front had fallen flat into the road without warning, killing about 10 and injuring a load of others. Turned out rain-water had been seeping down the front of the building for many years, - the council had replaced the paving slabs and filled in the odd hole now and then, but no-one had thought to check the buildings footings.
