- John and Kevin knock out all the final pieces that need to be finished on the Mustang that Kevin saved from a local junkyard to put back on the road. Adding an Old Air Products AC system, and a refresh on the interior as well as plumbing the brake system, then they hit the back roads for some "spirited" driving.

When doing your own brake lines you forgot the standard practice; to make the flares, then realize you forgot to put the nut on, cut off the flare and do it all over again. 😂

I love how they just chuck in a V8 and fist bump. That's only a something I can dream about.
Not exactly "chucked in" You see the last "Chuck" after many chucks & un-chucks.... you know, same old drill. :) Fist Bump was real though! IT was a hard fought battle to get her to fire and run!

The 351W engine was first offered in 1969. It came stock in Mustangs,Torinos and other cars along with Rancheros. It was not a truck engine in the beginning although was a option in trucks by Ford in later years.
I refer to ours as a "Truck engine" because we bought it from a guy that had it in an 84 full size Bronco. I know the Windsor based 351 was standard in several platforms... it fits great in this 'Stang!

I have no idea why you would not use a new chrome bezel. You stated patina as a factor , but then put in other chrome parts with none. It should all be one way or the other in my opinion.

It's a great car but I remember when Car Craft was a more DIY regular guy publication. This build would have been considered a bit on the expensive side..... but times change I guess.. Wait. A 216 ci 6 cylinder? Uhhh, how much do you really know about Ford engines?
Aparently not enough..... What did Ford have with the I6 i n67?
@@paintucation Almost all of the smaller Fords were available with 6 cylinders Fairlane, Mustang, Falcon etc.
@@mikestaihr5183 I know, inline 6 was the base-engine for all Ford compact and midsize vehicles...I was asking about cubic inches... what SIZE I-6 was standard in 67? I got my Chevy CID mixed up with Ford. My research (now) tells me it was a 200 CID
@@paintucation Sorry misunderstood. There were I believe three that I can think of depending on the model. The 200, 240, and 300 ci. I think the 300 was only in trucks though. My dad had a 65 f-100 with the 300.
It all about product advertising. The wasn't any technical info, such as, how to set the pinion angle or how to adjust the upper control arms for alignment, how to route the clutch hydraulic line so it won't burn up on the exhaust, how the steering column was adapted to the r&p. If it's a cruiser, y'all know stock seats suck!
Why is everything used patina. Call it like it is, used, faded, rusted. Rust is not a decoration, it's rust, oxidation, corrosion, the reason cars in Pennsylvania go to scrap or dold to other states. Rust eats metal, no matter how much clear coat you put on it.
