Another year of not coming to a cardinals home games I'll wait til marmol or mozelaik and the pitching and hitting coaches are gone . No big deal to me I will wait another year to come back to Busch stadium. I'm not even mad . I'm still going to be a lifetime diehard cardinals fan
This is funny. Mo said it’s not so much an admission that something was done wrong but, “the market is changing.” Is that news? Fans have been saying this for three years now. The market has changed. Top teams don’t have a single ace they have two or three. They don’t have one or two dangerous bats they have four or five. Ultimately, those additions cost money.
Oli and crew is not capable of leading this team to the playoffs much less WS. This team was tight all year till the end when they were basically eliminated from the playoffs.

This is just more bs!! DeWitt is the 7th wealthiest owner in baseball, and could afford to do both player development and player acquisition. If you didn't want to run a competitive team that has loads of history, then maybe you should step away too!! 83 wins is NOT a successful season in STL. Also, Mo, you definitely didn't do things right the last 5-7 years. Your ego is getting really stale!!

The corporate cringe coming from all these guys reminds me of every company I've ever hated working for. It's what I expected, but it's obnoxious. It's like they all had Chat GPT write a "we didn't do well and need to spin it into feigned excitement for the future" speech.
If we have such great group of young talent then isn’t the move to bring in some elite free agents while those guys are making minimal money? Isn’t that ideal? What these guys just said was, “We have a great bunch of young talent and so looks like we need to focus on building young talent for the future.” Noooo….you will waste the young talent if you don’t bring in elite FA talent to pair with it.
I'm fine with Mo hanging around. Previous track record does count for something. He got Goldy, Nado, Gray, Willie, & Albert so I'm ok with him. But for the love of God why are they not hiring Skip to bring better coaching in over the short term. What does Marmol get you? He's a minor league coach. Send him down.
You had the best catcher of the modern era and something really special with Yadi-Waino as battery mates. You should be distilling both of those things into an injectable you can give young pitchers and catchers. The Cardinals should be embracing the Yadi way for catchers and trying to stay on top year after year.
I won't be giving the cardinals any money next season. They obviously still have their heads up their asses. Get rid of Mo and his cronies.

The cardinals are closer to winning another world series with a rebuild than with continuing to try to compete. One more year of Mo and Marmol, then we're moving forward.
Making a change to focusing on developing young players and reallocated payroll funds to do it is just an excuse. They are trying to get ahead of the reduction in player payroll that’s coming, to soften the blow to fans. If you payed attention to what they were saying we should expect a pretty tough next several years. Many teams have said similar things in the past and what happened with those teams isn’t good.

The Pirates just designated a player for assignment so he wouldn't hit a 200k incentive. The Cards aren't the Pirates. Things haven't been good, but they aren't going into 30 years of no playoffs.
