I recall seeing the pope Pontiac 1987 Money changing between hands Outside the Silverdome Afterwords a riot broke Old folks turned brutish Trampling their way out the gates Towards heaven That fall from grace Knocked me on my knees Don't tell anyone That's what I wanted The god of change Knocked me on my knees Don't tell anyone That's what I wanted Remembering a Jumbo's night December 26th Weird faces filled up the bar Half sober Outside a steady snow All new white With new money and false friends I don't like it That fall from grace Knocked me on my knees Don't tell anyone That's what I wanted The god of change Knocked me on my knees Don't tell anyone That's what I wanted The dog in the manger Eats its anger But I miss it The way it was Before the scales Fell from my eyes There's no use being sad about it Whats the point of crying about it
honestly... i think especially on this song the fade out works pretty well. I get the point that most of the times its a lazy way to finish off a song, in this case thou, with that quite static drumbeat and bassline it makes total sense to me! Cheers to Protomartyr!
Alee Gee That was Cowards Starve and I did a double the when I heard it in the show! One of my fave Protomartyr songs m.ruclips.net/video/i-1WBgeoh9Q/видео.html
Preoccupation’s version made me know about these guys, and after listening to the original, the cover sounds rushed and a bit muffled? The original is clear, the lyrics haunting, I loved it, If it weren’t for preoccupations I would never have listened to these guys
Best frontman of the last 50 years .
Undoubtedly 👌
Word
Yes bro! He's in the same room as Jim Morrison and Ian Curtis.
Best frontman since Jesus H Christ
Saw them last night in Birmingham. Don't know what it is but there is definitely something unique about Joe Casey
By now everyone should know Protomartyr is one of the greatest bands around.
"What camera angles would you like?"
"Yes"
"OK follow up how much of each would you like?"
"Also yes"
Greatest band on the planet of the last few years. Respect from England.
I recall seeing Protomatyr march 31 2016,workmans dublin,,money changed hands will never forget it amazing band
You wanna rewrite the lyrics?
what a great location for a live show
Best in band in the world right now.
agreed
Que cancion tan bacana...me encanta esa guitarra relajante !!!🤟
Absolutely loved seeing Protomartyr in Chicago earlier this year.
I love Joe Casey great voice!
Songs so gooooood
I recall seeing the pope
Pontiac 1987
Money changing between hands
Outside the Silverdome
Afterwords a riot broke
Old folks turned brutish
Trampling their way out the gates
Towards heaven
That fall from grace
Knocked me on my knees
Don't tell anyone
That's what I wanted
The god of change
Knocked me on my knees
Don't tell anyone
That's what I wanted
Remembering a Jumbo's night
December 26th
Weird faces filled up the bar
Half sober
Outside a steady snow
All new white
With new money and false friends
I don't like it
That fall from grace
Knocked me on my knees
Don't tell anyone
That's what I wanted
The god of change
Knocked me on my knees
Don't tell anyone
That's what I wanted
The dog in the manger
Eats its anger
But I miss it
The way it was
Before the scales
Fell from my eyes
There's no use being sad about it
Whats the point of crying about it
You are hope.
Oh God I love this so much
yeeeeh viva Protomartyr!
He does not need to make his mouth do that.. but he does. Just for us 🤗
Hi all, Who knows the name of the song at the beggining of the video. THANKS!!!!
David Utrilla Aznar Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster by Thee Oh Sees! Incredible band.
Best frontman ever that also looks like he beat up the first frontman and put his clothes on.
oh god please stop the fade outs
honestly... i think especially on this song the fade out works pretty well. I get the point that most of the times its a lazy way to finish off a song, in this case thou, with that quite static drumbeat and bassline it makes total sense to me! Cheers to Protomartyr!
Klop stock he definitely means the editing on this video
The fades work here. Didn’t even notice until your rude comment. Respect others edits. If anything be constructive. Love you.
@@mannygarcia9838 it's really a constructive criticism clearly stated, my friend. I'm saying the fade outs are not good and that's all
Guilherme fair enough. Much love! Stay safe out there.
Dan Deacon in the background
Boulevards was back there too dancing SO hard. I would have never guessed he would dig this so much.
Anyone here cuz of 13 reasons why? Heard this on episode 3. Immediately went and looked for it.
Alee Gee That was Cowards Starve and I did a double the when I heard it in the show! One of my fave Protomartyr songs

omg, that was great. great performance, a lot of power.
so bad it has the worst video edition ever.
There's no use being sad about it. What's the point of crying about it?
Prtomartyr is one of my favorite bands but this is one of my least favorite music video edits
preoccupations version is far better
I strongly disagree!!
