Der T4 2.5 TDI ist das mit weitem Abstand das beste was je aus dem VW Werk heraus gekommen ist. Meiner hat nun 530t Km drauf und ist immer noch absolut TOP. Ich hab zwar nur den TDI mit 88PS aber mit etwas Optimierung (Injektoren, Software, Ladeluftkühler und 62er Rizel im 5.Gang geht der auch richtig gut. Auch 140kmh bei 3000 Umin im 5. Gang. Verbrauch 8L!

Got mine four years ago (long Caravelle 1998, chipped ACV 120BHP 340Nm, black magic, completely repaired) with 360.000 for 8.000€. Now you have to pay at least 12.000 for a van in a simmilar condition...
I have never understood why they weren't sold in US back in the day - T4 is a direct successor of the old Hippie van so beloved by Americans, with extreme reliability and adequate performance/features for its time. And I just love that van - I have driven dozens of different cars, and I have never felt so comfortable behind a wheel as with T4, not even in MB S class :) (meaning seating position, ergonomics, visibility etc., obviously not features/soundproofing/ride)

Der Übergang vom T3 auf den T4 ist schon echt bewundernswert. Ich glaube, 1999 wenn du damit rumgefahren bist und dann auf der Autobahn alle überholt hast die ihre 90 bis 110 fahren, da kamen bestimmt auch Blicke ^^
That sound is not the brake disks/rotors. What you can hear is the paint on the white lines. It has ridges in it to make a noise that wakes people up if they drift off the motorway.

У чувака мотор тихий, мой ревет)), aab 120 максимум, и то обороты бешеные. Крейсер 90-100. Да и ходовка моя под груз а не под скорость. Спокойно везет 1500, пару раз было две. Сама машина весит 1650, длиннобаз, стекленый. Машина лучшая, менять не на что.

You berely reach the range of 150km(rather less) without any load, rather less and max speed of 95 km/h... Hmmm am I only one who can't see any progress in EV? Я на таком же, только с VR8 жал 245 по M4... Но ТДИ намного лучше мотор... А вот уже Т5 совсем другой авто. мне он больше нравился. хотя ХЗ. Т4 и Т5 это лучшие авто которые у меня были, ни про тот ни про тот ничего плохого не могу сказать...

What gearbox is this running? My 2.5tdi ACV revs its ring out compared to the gear ratios running in this van. 3-4th Gear change at 100kph at almost 4000rpm (2:24). I'm almost doing 3800rpm at 100kph in 4th gear already.

I'm in the US, but I just bought a 93 2.5L gasser. Manual shifter, this thing is so much fun to drive.
